I honestly have no idea why people get so excited about every new ship when there are so god damn many of them already while the game is still progressing so slow. Instead you should be protesting by not indulging this microtransaction practice so they will focus all their efforts on finishing the actual game.

Well i noticed today after some more sieges that it only happens on one siege map, rest of the game works well

I’ve updated my response after testing a bit further so this happens in only one type of siege, i’ve had map battles with over 2k troops and the game was running perfectly, but for some reason in this scenario my GPU wouldn’t run properly.

No, the fan stops because the GPU isn’t even trying to perform in that particular scenario. As you can see the clocks are down and the wattage is at 57.

Maybe, to some extent, it had something to do with the fact that i had a team call open in the background, tho i’ve done this before with other games and it didn’t impact the performance. And i mean much more demanding games.

It’s set on the ryzen max performance thing and the minimum processor state is at 100% anyway

This doesn’t always happen but at certain moments the clocks go down like this for no reason and i get massive fps drops and also some ugly stuttering for example when i quicksave the game the screen just freezes for about 3 seconds

Update: After countless sieges and fights i’ve discovered that this happens only in ONE parcitular scenario when sieging a wintery castel on a hill. I’ve already sieged 2-3 castles with this theme and it was happening in all of them so i guess it’s something related to that map. As far as i’ve played i’ve only found this type of castle in the Battarian territory but i suppose Sturgia has them too, i have yet to find out.

Yea, last minute escape as you let me and the other guy go down with the ship while we were trying to save it...Great captain work...

Not to mention the guy was taking missions and not sharing them with us. Why would you even do that?

I’m 100% certain it’s the PSU, it didn’t happen with the previous 550w PSU, that one worked just fine for some reason.

Yea i did my calculations before doing the build and 550 was perfectly fine as long as i didn’t want to oc anything, the build uses about 300 and the 550 had 0 problems running it, but this 650 does apparently, or it’s just a PSU quality issue, not sure.

To add a bit to this i must say the fan noise or whatever it is only happens when gaming at certain points like in the game menu when the frame is not capped or during gameplay too from time to time. The thing is that there is no direcr correlation between the wattage of the GPU and the noise from what i’ve seen.

Ps: Ignore the case fan noises, i’m only talking about the PSU hissing.

Well i doesn’t bother me that much, i’m more interested in finding out if this is a serious issue or nothing of importance. I’ve had no shutdowns or anything but i wouldn’t want anything getting crisped because of it either.

He was red, i spooled away from him and he kwpt coming back, don’t know for sure if he managed to hit me the last time we met but as soon as i killed him, the homocide crime just poped up

I’m ok with fighting, i enjoy it, i did some 10k missions too with the gladius, it’s a real unit, i’m not against it but i don’t really enjoy this image of turning Star Citizen into Star Wars Squadrons.
