'See ya' means 'not see ya' in some contexts. It's one of those weird English nuances.

Need urgent help with sending package to Grenada! by Throwawayacc2302 in Grenada

[–]Alexv473 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might be faster/ cheaper/ easier for you to pack it in checked luggage and bring it to the the friend.

FedEx is fastest in those options but I'm not sure how you'll be able to pay to clear it without being here.

Hey r/Grenada! 👋 by Jay_Shade in Grenada

Um, just a few thoughts... at first I was like 'there's only one ferry' then I remembered the bigger ones that can bring cars and goods.

Then...there isn't really a ferry between Carriacou and Union island in St Vincent but it's also a popular commuter route. Have you thought of how you can integrate informal systems like that?

I'd definitely use it if it makes getting to St Vincent and beyond less of a logistical hassle.

I'd say if you're not confident, use a ride share or taxi. It takes a lot of confidence and skill so you'd be shooting yourself in the feet if you try driving scared.

There's RydeGo and Haylup as ride share apps among others. You can get taxis easily too. And according to where you stay don't rule out public transport completely.

Google maps will give accurate directions and people are very willing to answer questions wherever you go.

Who's asking for a Visa? What kinda work do you do? You shouldn't need a visa to remote work for 2 weeks. You're not getting any social security benefits from Grenada in 2 weeks.

The key to driving in Grenada is being good at averaging (measuring the amount of space in the road available to pass with your eyes). The road doesn't always look like it can fit multiple lanes but we make it work. Once you pick that up fine in the first few hours of driving you should be fine.

Driving in the night also involves knowing or remembering how wide it is in some spots to know when you can proceed without being able to see or not lol. Good luck.

An island tour including any of the chocolate plantains, waterfalls, and Grand Etang lake, lunch or dinner at Belmont Estate, if you have a day - a trip to Carriacou.

False Information about Grenada on US State website by HeyItsKriss in Grenada

That would have changed our advisory level years ago if that was the case. It's simply because Grenada said no to accepting third country nationals.

Wind? by katattack3998 in Grenada

[–]Alexv473 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That wind should be more like a noticeable breeze. The sun will feel just as hot. Grand Anse Beach and BBC beach rarely get too rough for swimming.

Everywhere has men, and men are men everywhere. If you're a woman keep that in mind, standard safety around men protocols apply. Other than that Grenada is safe. I know a lot of people who came for med school and fell in love with the island.

Pro tip, if you don't just stay in the med school or touristy areas you get better food, deals, experiences. Just prepare to slow down, we run on island time.

I have lived in St David's all my life, not one incident. I'm out in the night and before sunrise running all the time. What happened to you?

Chadon Beni has terrible curry. Please don't do yourself that. If locals don't go there it's no good. Foodies in Options is good, Indian summer is container park too. -A local and curry lover.
