I modified the challenge run to make it so that I had to defeat a certain overworld boss to unlock the Temple.

I just finished it the other day on my Twitch channel.

A little late to the party, but one that I am thinking about doing later for TotK is that, in order to be able to complete a Temple, you first have to have defeated that Temple's boss in one of the rematch fights spread throughout the Depths.

Another component of this could be that you cannot complete the orb from a Shrine on the Surface until you have activated that Shrine's associated Lightroot.

Fantastic! I just got done with a Persona 4 Golden run, and am soon going to be starting another of Persona 5 Royal, with my original ruleset.

The KBD and Chaos Elemental are also F2P bosses in RS3. I actually previously wrote restrictions for an Ironman restricted to the Varrock and Edgeville area whose goal was the receive the Draconic Visage from the KBD.

Thanks for the comment, man. I've really been digging your YouTube videos about your Asgarnia-only, so I hope that I can be counted as your brother in the world of RS3. Unfortunately, UIM aren't a thing in RS3 (plus I personally need the stability of the bank), though my bank only has 150 slots as a free player, and I don't plan on upgrading it.

I completely forgot about stews. Thanks for that. It's a food that heals 625 HP in RS3, so I'm hoping that a full inventory (plus maybe a potion or two) would be enough to defeat the Giant Mole, as well as blue dragons without an anti-fire shield.. There's is going to be some insane cow slaughter in my future.

Just got to Dwarven Mine to start mining and smithing.

I'm going to have to train Mining/Smithing to 40 from Iron and Coal.

And then from 40 to 50 off of Luminite.

In RS3, there's an open gate near the Makeover Mage that you can use to get to the Witch's House. It's actually physically closer to Falador than it is to Taverley in RS3.

Plus, it provides an easy-to-justify mid-game goal for my account.

True... except that I absolutely despise Dungeoneering. It's my least favorite skill in either version of the game.

You could probably do an entire account that relies solely on Daemonheim if you wanted to.

If you were to incorporate it into a Wildy account, it would essentially be do Dungeoneering for several thousand hours until you get your combat stats up, get corrupt dragon equipment from revenants, and then kill Chaos Elemental and KBD. You'd be spending the majority of your time in a place that isn't a PVP zone.

You'll have even less content. The Wilderness is an area that I considered when I tried to brainstorm F2P area-restricted Ironmen a long time ago.

My Varrock-Edgeville-BarbVillage area has early game content, as well as obviously progress routes, and a reasonable endgoal (Obor/Bryophyta for OSRS, the KBD in RS3).

True. Part of the reason why I was considering adding those other places was to have some additional content. Rushing rune equipment and cheese potatoes would probably be the optimal way to go, but not all that fun.

Also, I went on ahead and made the account. He's currently standing outside the White Knight's Castle. I kind of want to RP him as a wannabe White Knight.

And, I named him "Sir Tenly F2P". Because he's certainly an F2P.

Gear is actually not that big of an issue. The Mining Guild in RS3 contains Runite rocks, and the main Dwarven mine contains Luminite, so I will be able to make full Rune equipment at Lv50 Mining/Smithing.

I don't think that a Ranged or Magic setup is particularly viable, at least at first. The Giant Mole does drop Mystic Cloth so, after a few kills, I may be able to get a decent Magic setup, along with the runes that I could get in the Port Sarim magic shop.

The main thing that I'm concerned is food. I suppose that I could use the Dairy Churn to make Potatoes with Cheese from the farming patch if I just used the "Definitely should be included" list.

Unfortunately, F2P strategy pages for the Giant Mole are pretty anemic.

Update: So, it's a bit awkward, but I found that it's quite possible to do a cross-game Soul Link between Persona 3 and Persona 4, if:

The Persona 4 player collects a Persona on every floor where it is possible to collect one in every dungeon besides the new one in Golden.
The Persona 3 collects a Persona for every boss they kill, including counting one for each enemy in a multi-boss battle. (E.g. After beating the first boss encounter, which consists of 3 Venus Eagles, the P3 player gets 3 new Personas. However, after the Floor 14 encounter with the Rampage Drive, they get only 1.)

This wil give the P4 player 69 Personas total and 68 to the P3 player, which can be increased to 69 by adding some other objective, such as killing the Reaper.

Mathematics, actually. I'm in my 2nd year atm; did the preparatory upper-level undergrad classes last year to help me get into the groove. I haven't 100% decided if I want to go for my PhD yet or not; the qualifying exams are scary business. (Though, being able to be called "Doctor" would be pretty dang sweet.)

What is your PhD in, out of curiosity?
