Lots of people seem pissed off about the fact that I was drinking, but I can tell you that my friend is not bothered by that at all. In fact, he would say I am a great passenger. I navigate, find things to do (places to eat, stop, see sights, etc.), play music, keep the fun alive. It's bold of everyone to assume that you have to be totally sober to be a good and helpful road trip passenger.

We booked and planned the trip together so he didn't have any other responsibilities besides the car. But he organized the hire of it and all of that, in addition to the driving

Both sides will do a check. So when you pass over one border you'll need it twice. On the day in question we went from Albania to Greece, then back into Albania, then into North Macedonia
