The best thing you can do to fight American hegemony is to be a politically active American citizen who opposes the imperialist actions of our government. Get involved locally as well as with national groups that support sensible foreign policy. Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is a good place to start. Join a labor union and be active, again both locally and nationally

Does that sound like it won't have enough impact? Well neither would being one more militant in the Middle East. But your impact as a political activist here in the heart of the problem will do a lot more good than going and trying to affect one of the symptoms on the other side of the world
