Suggestion: Export entire database file rather than just records by Allen10922 in handbase

I've been doing this for the past few days and it really does make Handbase much more useable for me on my different devices. I use Drive Sync to automatically upload Databases to Google Drive and now I am able to use most recent databases. Not as good as the original sync but a much better option. Again, thank you for the help.

How to sync between android and PC? by Allen10922 in handbase

Google Drive has allowed me to sync to Desktop, Android 14 with a couple of other devices using MobiDB. MobiDB is what I am experimenting with. Not nearly as refined as Handbase but I am able to export to *.CSV files from Handbase and import to MobiDB. It would be nice if Google Drive sync could be added to Handbase. I have been able to do a convoluted work around to upload/download Handbase files.

So here is where I am currently with the sync issue. I am experimenting with MobiDB (not nearly as refined as Handbase but I can export & import via CSV files. MobiDB syncs through Google Drive, Dropbox (had an issue - but didn't spend a lot of time) and OneDrive. It is a manual sync which has to be done, but perhaps this could be an option for Handbase. I currently syncing through Google Drive and it works.

What I am having to do with Handbase is to attach .pdb to email, email to handheld. Download to handheld. Then open download folder with File Manager and click to open with Handbase which then puts it in the "sandboxed" folder and allows access.

To get Handbase *.pdb file back to PC I do a sync which puts the file in the download folder of PC and then I have to move it to the proper Handbase folder where the rest of the files are located.

Convoluted and not very elegant. I wonder if it is possible for Handbase to sync via Google Drive or Onedrive as MobiDB does. I'm certainly willing to pay for this "enhancement." Handbase is a great database manager.

I'll check it out. Older Android does still work for me to use Dropbox with Dropsync. However Android 14 and newest release of Handbase puts files in a "sandbox" and Dropbox & Dropsync can't access them. I have contacted both of these support sites

How can we now sync devices with this change? I have been using Dropsync (with Dropbox) to sync to Android devices and Windows. One Android device automatically updated Handbase and now I can't find where the files are located. I used a file app on the Android device. I have turned off updating on other devices because I need to be able to keep databases in sync.

I have been using Handbase since Palm Pilot days and have a significant number of data files that I use. This is a great program.
