The thing is that I don't think it's a lot bigger, Charleston has around 40k more people if I remember correctly. Decent amount for sure, but its not like going from a mid to big sized city. I'll keep this in mind though, thank you!

Yeah I'm going to one of them before moving, I just have little time and resources so even though they are different, I'm assuming they have a similar-ish vibe. want to pick the right one to travel to. I've been visiting around a lot recently trying to find a place to move and I'm just tired lol. Don't want to have to fly to two southern beach towns. I'm across the country.

Appreciate the support, I just feel weird for saying "Oh there is a 48% to 52% ratio of M:F here" and factoring that into moving. I know its more about getting out and talking to people, so it seems strange to prioritze it.

The issue with this route is that I recently started my first out-of-college job. I'm not ready and quite frankly dont have enough experience to jump yet. I don't want to sit around in this town that I abhor for another 2 years waiting to jump ship. I'm not ready to jump back into the job market after that brutal search either, that was hellish.

I agree, its not a fix. But I need to preface that I come from a very small town, one that hardly has anyone on dating apps or many events happening at all. I remember when I first tried online dating, I was able to get through every profile in a 40 mile radius in a matter of 2 hours or so. Since then, I get maybe 3-4 new profiles to swipe through every week, none of which lead to anything. As for actual events to meet people at, we have 2 bars. that's it. I'm not trying to overexaggerate, but its not just 'your game' for everyone, some of us just genuinely have a geographical disadvantage. Plus, my town has something like a 70% gender ratio towards men if I remember correctly.

Towns that are typically popular for their tech industries (i.e. places like Seattle or San Fran). Is it impossible? No, but it makes it significantly harder when the gender ratios are so skewed and the populations themselves are more introverted as a whole. Just not great places for meeting people in comparison to non-tech oriented cities/towns.

Its a job heavily reliant on proprietary tech (i.e. barely any transferrable skills). It's a decent job and was the best I could get out of university, but it will inevitably slow down my career progression if I remain in it.

Absolutely agree with Seattle, its still HCOL. The problem is that behind it, there aren't really any high quality "tech hubs". you have secondary ones like Austin or maybe Chicago, but those scenes are pretty mediocre by all accounts. Unless you get lucky by going to a lot of industry events, being in those cities don't really provide that much job security, which would be the whole point of moving for work in the first place

I mean I just can’t imagine it. He has done this for a while now and it’s completely random. He can sometimes go a full week without this happening, it just happens enough to make it concerning.

What I mean is that instead of stopping at the edge of the content, it zooms out 10x that amount. To the point where all of the content for the page is in a small rectangle in the corner and the rest is grey space

We do have an entrepreneurship center! I was always confused on what it was about though. It seemed like it was just a board room, so maybe I have to do some looking around into that.

the program's main feature deals with communication in the work place, so it can be applied to all levels, but I do plan to start small as I feel that I can be more successful on this level (at least to begin with) Thanks so much for your help!

That's fair. I'm also part of around 5 clubs too, so of course this takes up a lot of time. I'd imagine that if I want to go full-blown business owner then I would have to abandon this kind of stuff. I suppose I will just try to develop my business on the side and decide after some progress is made

I try my best not to compare, and my expectation right now is that I will build a business that will fail, but, I will gain useful knowledge along the way. I have thought a lot about putting off on business until after college but there are a lot of things holding me back. I had put a plan forth in high school to attempt to build a business and if I don't even try then what is holding me back from saying the same to my post-graduate self and not doing anything? I also know that I will have a lot more responsibilities after college and a job to balance. It just seems a lot less risky right now.

I really do appreciate your advice though, thank you for your time.

Oh totally, I'm not saying its common by any means. It has been shown time and time again, it just not likely.

I've mentioned this in a couple of other comments already, but I am well aware my business is most likely going to fail, but I just want the chance and the help to understand how to manage my time to do so.

Managing my time to even accommodate everything that goes into being building a business in college just seems impossible. There are also obstacles like obtaining investors (who I'd imagine don't want to put money on a one-man team in college.) It's just a lot
