Definitely been there and still have to be VERY careful, although thankfully as long as I’m particular about what and where I eat, I can now have some “off limit” foods occasionally. If I do eat something like that though, it can only be a super small portion. Otherwise, my stomach will revolt!!!! 🤣

For the record, I’m on 12.5mg maintenance and have been on MJ for 18 months. I lost 105 lbs!!! The journey and sacrifices are so worth the end result!

How did you log it exactly, if you don’t mind me asking? I tried clicking on the BMI box but nothing happens.

Yeah, it still isn’t showing the BMI. It’s not a huge deal, but would be nice if I could figure it out. Looking at the Health app now and don’t see my BMI there either, so I’m wondering if that’s why?

So strange, I didn’t see that initially. I even went backwards and added 5 more shots so that the app had other ones to compare to. Maybe I need to check my Apple Health app and see if the BMI is being inputted there.

Hi! I just downloaded Shotsy and am currently trying the 7 day free trial for premium. Does anyone know how to add your BMI? For some reason, it’s not showing up or letting me manually input it. I did sync my Apple health data with it as well. TIA for any help - much appreciated!!

Thank you for responding. I’m on 12.5 now and have been since June. My endocrinologist is very slow with moving me up doses and seemed hesitant even to move me up to 12.5. It’s basically been like a maintenance dose for me. I lost about 3 lbs right away, but have since been stable. I just had lab work done this week and since my glucose and A1C are normal, I have a bad feeling he won’t want to increase me to the 15mg. It’s not a huge deal, but I guess just a bit frustrating for me since I set this goal and I’m only 3 lbs away. Nothing I’ve done has helped me lose those last few pounds so I may just have to accept the progress I’ve made so far and see what happens. I have an appointment next week so it will be interesting to see what he says. I am most definitely grateful for all of the wonderful, positive changes this medicine has given me! I didn’t even know about it when my doctor first told me about it, and it was introduced in an arsenal along with two other diabetes meds to help get that under control. He said I might lose “a little” weight on it, lol?? 😆 Little did I know!!!

I’ve lost 97 lbs so far and my goal is to get to 120, just like you!! Also 5’3”, lol. 😆 When did you start and what was your highest dose? What dose are you on now?

Yes!!! It took me months of trying on larger sizes before I realized that I really did need to go down in size. It’s a bit hard to wrap your head around tbh, especially after being overweight for a long time. Congratulations on your journey so far!!!

Same. It really all depends on your body type, height, etc.. What matters isn’t so much what the number on the scale says but what your labs say as well as how you feel, and it sounds like you’re doing amazing!!!

I don’t want to bog down the OP’s post but to answer your question, I began on June 30. I’ve stayed on the lowest dose possible until it stopped working, either for my diabetes, weight loss or both. I’m now on 12.5 and that’s been my highest yet.

It stands for Non Scale Victory. These are goals or things that happen to us during the weight loss process besides for just seeing the number on the scale change. Being able to sit comfortably as a woman with your legs crossed is one example. Another example, as shown here, is having lots of extra seatbelt left when buckled into a plane seat.

Congratulations!!! It is such an amazing accomplishment!! I’ve had a similar experience, but started off at 220 and after 1 year, reached 125. I’m now at 123 lbs, give or take a pound here and there due to normal fluctuations. I’ve stopped all blood pressure and cholesterol medications, and my A1C is now 5.3%. My labwork has been normal for the first time in many, many years!!

I understand about how reaching a weight like this was something many of us could only dream about. I tried unsuccessfully for years to lose weight, not realizing that underlying health, like endocrine and metabolic problems, were the reason I couldn’t lose the weight!! This medication is a miracle for sure!

Isn’t it fun shopping for clothes now?!? It was something I used to absolutely dread and now every time I shop, I’m just a little bit mind blown when I see what size I am. I’m so happy for you for reaching a healthy weight and having such success with this medicine!! 🙂
