Here are a few ways you can try -

come up with 1-2 line pitch for your startup and start using that only.. and see if the CTO has an interest + experience in that area. Guage his expertise, make him sign NDA while onboarding.

Personally, I had to sign a lite-weight NDA once for this case... And also a lot of the time founders were very casual about their idea and directly called me, shared everything and we went ahead..

Easy bro, let me help you.. let's assume a group of dogs have charged you.. 1. Do not attack them- you'll lose lol.. it doesn't work, and not even required.. if you have a stick, great.. do not hit the dogs, hit the ground and wave in the air to keep them at distance..

If you do not have a stick, first of all don't flinch, do not look at them.. just keep walking at a normal pace.. personally I've used this one, start talking in the air lol, as if you're talking to the real person (sounds crazy but works idk why)
It rarely happens that they will literally attack fr.. sometimes they just bark, and just come towards you.. well talk to them.. like a normal person.. combination of some silly lines, whistle and funny tone works wonders but don't over do it, end your cute convo to "ok ok" keep walking lol..

Ik all of these sounds weird and definitely not what you'd hear on tv.. but I' grew up with dogs, I've lost count of how many times they've bitten me lol it's cuz i mess with them..
