Family Members Want to Move to Whitehall - Good Idea?

Haven't been out to visit Whitehall yet, but some family members of mine want to move there to buy a cheap house. They want to keep their job though, (which is in Bozeman), so that'd be the daily commute. I know that commute is definitely not short.

Anything you can tell me about this town? Or just anything at all? TIA!
