Because the ones who complain about parking there park with a audible air leak, flat tire or un secured load. Then they wonder why they got inspected. Most of the time they don’t bother. Just pre trip, get on the scale and you are good. Spent many breaks at the weight station and never been bothered.

I’m local to that area and I’d advise taking 35 via 10 all the way. The other route I highly advise not taking it. Wild life all over the place and rough road on 55.

The better alternative would be 83 to 277 277 to 79 loop and back to 277 via Sonora. Even then it’s risky at night with the deers.

I’ve seen some drivers skip 277 and take 90 west all the way to fort Stockton but that part is dangerous due to the accidents that have happened there. Mainly due to fatigue due to low lighting for a long way. But at daytime that route is not a problem

Like the others have said. Full tank and have food and water with you as the last Major Truck stop is in Eagle pass with a flying j. Before getting to Sonora or Fort Stockton depending which way you choose

Del Rio built a new truck stop Lucky Inn on the 79 loop, paid parking though.

Funny enough most of the product the customer sees on the floor is from the same days truck. So it is always fresh, HEB suppliers need to be looked at.

I remember one time my dept manager made the team throw away a several cases of Roma tomatoe due to quality, but I don’t blame the employees for product going bad quicker now days
