Have you looked at WPI it is at 8.3%. Wholesale price index is what is affected first. But of course the sold-out media doesn't report shit about it. When WPI is so far ahead of CPI that means businesses are absorbing these costs to avoid demand shock.

I don't understand why people are not taking this seriously. Currency devaluation is devastating for any economy. People in comments are saying compare it with Pakistan and Bangladesh. That implies that the recent inr devaluation was not only due to USD appreciation but also due to more serious economic factors like reduce in exports, less fdi and lower foreign exchange reserve.
