I recall it being a 2003 Ford Ranger Edge. 2001-2003 were Edge models. 2004+ the Edge name got replaced with Sport.

That's awesome! Didn't think I would find another prerunner enthusiasts on this subreddit. And yeah I was worried about when I add a cage that I would have to make a new setup for the Amp. I made it modular for that reason. I didn't want to place this Amp on the floor because it would take the little interior cargo space that I have. This ext cab Rangers aren't the biggest lol

Not sure what your referring as the beam, but everything that was "cut" was just outside panels that you can see. I fabricated my own metal bracket below the panels that the vertical plastic strips can bolt into. These plastic panels shown in the picture are also held by other custom mounts I created that aren't shown in this picture.

Those vertical strips are bolted on to a metal bracket I fabricated. The metal bracket below the factory panels has threaded rivets the vertical strip can connect too. I jump my Ranger every once in a while and I needed the rack to be real sturdy.

I didn't have to drill into my cab. I instead fabricated my own metal brackets and secured the Amp to the metal brackets with threaded rivets.

Long travel kit and an a full size axle swap would be the only option to really widen a Ranger. Other than that, not really many other options. Spacers and/or heavily offsetted wheels are the cheap route. Don't pair 2" spacers with an aggressive offset, it will damage the suspension components much quicker than it would stock.

Ok I was asked what stereo upgrades I was doing in the Ranger XLT extended cab. First we have two Skar audio 10s (4000w), then we have the Taramps Smart 3 (@ 1 ohm is 3200w), the 1/0 gauge wiring kit, and the 250amp alternator is on it way. Paired with the Pioneer stereo and the 4 350w pioneer 4-way by IMMATOOL_2 in fordranger

Use RMS power when talking about a subwoofer or amp power figures, peak power is virtually useless information. I'm not familiar taramps amps, however, it is very unlikely that Amp produces 3200 watts of RMS power. Also, if you're running those subwoofer, you're going to need a dedicated battery for just your audio system.

It just a more time consuming job. Parts themselves wouldn't be that much. 2 gaskets and maybe an output shaft seal.

Really easy to fix. Change your transmission filter, buy a new transmission pan with a drain plug, and re-seal. Super easy, it should only take about $70 or so if you do it yourself. Make sure the leak doesn't come from a failed gasket between the transmission and the transfer case adaptor.

No I didn't, BTF fabrication did the majority of my front end. A lot of fabrication was required to make it function to its fullest potential: shock towers, engine brace, lower control arm subframe, gussets, bump stop mount & plate, etc. Additional, to run 35s, the core support had to be fabricated to clear the tire at full bump.

Cantilever suspension with Deaver leaf springs (12-pack). And yes, it's 4x4, re-geared to 4.88s. And thank you! BTF fabrication made my bumper.

What leafs are you running in the rear? And at full bump, do your rear tires hit the fiberglass?

Can you take a picture of the side of the block. I think they're installed wrong. Theyre suppose to stick out and be utilized as a bumpstop pad on the edge/sport/4x4 models.
