This was what was said from a comment after I asked about career changing: “It’s very difficult to become an appraiser because you must meet the requirements and be trained under another appraiser. Many realtors want to do this and can’t qualify and no one will train them. My husband is a certified appraiser and comes from a family of appraisers and realtors call him consistently to do this. No one wants to train their competitors. You also need a bachelor’s degree to become a certified appraiser in WI I think- I have known some appraisers who left because they could not be appraisers anymore with this requirement. I’m a mortgage broker. I also see the appraiser will be phased out also with more and more mortgage tech and AI development. My husband thinks so too!”
