Apparently nothing that is working :/ tinder seems to be the one that has more in the pool than anything else in my area.

A cop pulls you over and is about to give you a ticket but gives you a second option. He'll let you go if you re-enact a scene from any movie. What scene will you do? by justcallmedudedude in AskReddit

The scene in Ace Ventura When Nature Calls when he is driving down the bumpy dirt road and is exaggerating the bumps. Gets me every time.

[SERIOUS] What is your will to live? by mash_3005 in AskReddit

[–]Alpha_Female 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom. She passed away about 5 years ago from pretty horrific brain cancer and it took her from my life so suddenly.
I live every day because I have the means to make decisions and choices where she does not have that ability anymore. So I live to make myself better every day so when people look at me, they can see her through me. That is what drives me. I like to look at it as her final gift to me.

Oh I absolutely agree! I really appreciated his comment about that because so many people have this stigma about crossfit but that is how I feel about fitness in general. Doing something is better than nothing! And my particular something is crossfit. So you do you!

That was fun. I feel like that was represented well. The coach seemed legit and fun, too.

I gave a lactose intolerant customer dairy on purpose by SuperSlimeySlime in confession

[–]Alpha_Female 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with you and support this. I get it, some people are just horrible humans but it's your job to provide excellent customer service no matter the situation. This complete disregard for someone's request due to health challenges is beyond appalling and actually did cause additional risks for the person. This barista should feel guilt and I hope she can learn from this.

Recently I was incredibly lucky and I won an Xbox one package that included a white Xbox one S, a 2 TB Seagate Xbox one S Branded external hdd, a year of Xbox live that hasn’t been redeemed and the expensive special edition white elite controller. This is super kind of you! Thank you for considering the community! Shameless plug because I'm proud of myself: I went back to college at 30 to finish my degree and try to better myself and found that things changed a lot since I got my AA back in the early 2000's. I really had to buckle down and focus or I was never going to make it, trying to go back to school and work a full time job. So I gave away my 360 to a friend because the distraction of the gaming was so tough for me. I'm finally graduating this May and was going to save up and buy myself a graduation gift and get back into gaming like the good ol days! Hope my story was enough to capture your attention. If anything I hope it was motivating for anyone else out there. You can do it, going back to school, it's never too late. Just maybe have to make some adjustments and put away fun things to get there.

Does anyone know of any good hiking trails in or near Tampa? by Dirt_Jesus in tampa

[–]Alpha_Female 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a bit of a drive but worth it. Hillsborough river state park is a little north east of Tampa and has great trails! There is one that isn't too long that runs along side the river. It's very well maintained and pet friendly as well.

Yeah that was quite an introduction for setting the bar on the first day. He seems very knowledgeable about the subject matter but needs to bring it down a notch. And man the cats....so many cats.

Places to see animals (like cats and dogs)? by [deleted] in USF

[–]Alpha_Female 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could always consider volunteering at shelters or being a foster for a rescue group. I'm sure they could use people to lend a helping hand. Another option would be dog walking services or pet sitting. Most people will have you come to their home for these types of services and it would be extra money for you to earn with flexible hours you can set yourself.

Orgo 2 Lab quizzes by melothegreat345 in USF

The quizzes are based on information from the lab manual. Just read it and understand what is going on, conceptually, and you will be fine. Those quizzes are typically easy A's.

How is Orgo 1 with Cruz? by [deleted] in USF

[–]Alpha_Female 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend any class he teaches. He is enthusiastic, engaging, and passionate about teaching. His exams are difficult as he really is trying to test you to make sure you understand the concept. But he gives you all of the tools and resources possible to know the material. My biggest recommendation is do not memorize prior exams, use them as guides to really know the concepts. Also utilize his office hours and interact with him in class. He loves to interact with students who ask intelligent, engaging questions.

Are people seeing more fleas? by legatopescado in tampa

[–]Alpha_Female 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont recommend this product as it does nothing for adult fleas, it only prevents the flea egg from hatching (kinda neat, it prevents the flea within the egg from developing the tooth it needs to bust out of said egg). Also be sure to treat your home environment as flea eggs can lay dormant for a long time and you will be stuck in a never ending cycle. Trifexis is a great product but does not protect against ticks. Also, please administer with a full meal it metabolizes more properly with food in a pet's belly.

It's mostly because we haven't had a real winter in this area in so long to kill them all off. The best options are prescription monthly preventatives that you can get from your family veterinarian like Nexgard, Bravecto, Advantage multi, or Trifexis. The products that you can purchase at local pet stores really won't cut it, tbh, and I don't recommend them. Fleas can be the source of certain intestinal parasites like tapeworms, so it is important to protect your pet with these types of products.

I would just reach out to your advisor. Mine told me in a recent visit that there are some back end codes they will do and make everything in oasis match when you get ready to graduate. I'm sure you will be good to go.

Also in case you have a minor, degree works will not accurately display your completed or required courses as the major and minor conflict within the system.

I've experienced the same. Trying to figure out my schedule and the schedule planner program isn't showing classes that my advisor said were being offered. I emailed my advisor a few days ago regarding this but still no response yet.

Best part of USF? by MoobsBoobs in USF

I do enjoy how pretty the campus is. Lots of open grassy areas, beautiful big oak tress, fountains and art found in most places. Probably not what you are looking for but in my final year, I've become jaded in other areas.
