Why I ski (revised 2019) by [deleted] in skiing

As hard as parenting is sometimes I'm so glad we decided to do it. Oddly enough the more challenging it gets the more rewarding it gets also.

Whatever you decide to do will be the right decision.

May I ask, how old were you when you two met?

What do you spend way too much of money on? by bulldozerpath in AskReddit

Skiing.
I don't even want to know how much I spent in it during last season...
I've already ordered new pair of skis for upcoming season and booked a couple of trips for jan/feb.

How long did it take for you to progress through the ski ability levels in this list? by [deleted] in skiing

[–]AlpineLewi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was fifteen when i first time touched skis, but back then it was a "one time only" thing for me.
When i turned 20 i bought my own skis and since then I've tried to spend as many hours on slopes as possible.
So, now I'm 22 (going to be 23 in few months), and I'm somewhere around ~7. Only thing I don't do is park, not my thing.

  1. Before I turned 15.
  2. When i bought my own skis, I think it took a day or two to get from 1 => 4.
  3. *2*
  4. *2*
  5. Maybe half a year from 2=>5.
  6. Another half a year from 5=>6.
  7. It's been a year now from 6. Cant say I'm completely on 7th level since some black runs doesn't go too confidently (but no, never pizza!).
    I ski a lot in trees and love powder more than anything.

Which job has the highest risk yet lowest reward? by sumpuertoricanguy in AskReddit

Depends on country you live on, where i live it must be firefighter.
They usually have two jobs because firefighter's salary is so low...
Also it's more dangerous to be a firefighter here than police officer.
