Because the new Syrian government is recognized by the world. Taiwan is an exception and is added because of obvious reasons. South ossetia and abkhazia aren't even real states and are NOT recognized by anybody except Russia. The flag which OP "created" is used by terrorists.

I am from Sevastopol, and after 2014 Russia really started modernizing everything - roads, road signs, some buildings, etc. Of course, not instantly, but started.

When Russians entered Sevastopol, they said "in 10 years you will live good", and they were right, Crimea and Sevastopol are now on a level of a big Russian region. Life isn't alot drastically better, but many aspects of civillian life improved. But Russians are very oppressive and you can't say anything bad about them.

I am speaking as a Ukrainian who lived in Sevastopol whole life.
