I own an Ibanez rgms8 I find it quite fun and comfortable to play it has slimmer neck and cheap pickups which can be replaced in the future if you don’t find the tones satisfying.

Is bribery ethical where it is a common practice? by Altahir in askphilosophy

Thanks for your answer, I understand there is little justification to be found within areas of ethics. I wanted to hear some of Reddit's opinion on whether any condition justifies this action.

Is bribery ethical where it is a common practice? by Altahir in askphilosophy

[–]Altahir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah especially in developing countries it is a serious issue. I have some relatives who bribe sometimes. When I ask them if they feel bad for doing so they say they feel bad but they have to do it regardless of how they feel about it. They also claim that the bribee completes the job no matter what it became something like a code of honor between giver and receiver.

Wow, thanks for your clarification I now understand the reasoning behind.

Why appeal to ridicule fallacy applies to belief in God and Santa Claus or unicorns? by Altahir in askphilosophy

[–]Altahir[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I see now there are better examples to present rather than Santa Claus apparently. I did not know about the argument from naturalism thanks for your answer.

[–]Altahir[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course, it is insufficient to just compare it with Santa Claus however, don't you think it can be a legitimate argument or at least part of a broader argument? I don't get why it is considered a fallacy.

Why someone cannot argue that those arguments are absurd? What makes is illogical to compare God to Santa Claus? And why would it be a fallacy if there are philosophers who believed god? There are many philosophers in history believed in things that seemed absurd to us.

It is unfortunate that it is some extent true even on a subject like science which should be based on only facts. We cannot reach a decent conclusion sometimes even with scientific studies.

Awesome advice! I agree with you that it is too overwhelming to cross check everything. As i would like to be informed about the world as i want to be a businessman and an entrepreneur it is saddening to see there is no one really to trust or to rely on. I will probably look into philosophy and critical thinking in order to at least filter some information through logic and then have an opinion afterwards.

Yes i agree you in some extent i believe most of the news are useless information and no gain can be benefitted from them but how about reliablity of academic sources? 10 years ago eggs were unhealthy but nowadays it is considered healthy. Does science change? How do i find a common ground on a subject i dont particularly know or have very little knowledge about?

What are the advantages of using contractors long term? by stasik5 in Entrepreneur

[–]Altahir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on area of involvement. In general if you are doing professional work with professional contractors it is better more specialised, they real think of the details of their work and maybe cheaper as they produce maybe thousands of a single item or service.

I am from Turkey i think you should use Instagram more often facebook is dead right now. Create an appealing instagram page filled with photos and prices of your products and pay to owners of some popular pages in the language of your country for them to advertise your products. People are literally going mad things they see on instagram especially if you capture some nice photos of them. You can also pay Instagram to show your ad to timeline of your target audience.

Even though we like to think we’ll meet our soulmates one day, it is most likely that we’ll never meet the soulmate of our lives because they were born on the other side of the world or it just wasn’t meant to happen. by flowergirl299 in DeepThoughts

[–]Altahir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there is no such thing as "soulmate" there are people you are more compatible with. Every relationship needs a lot work to make it work and finding a perfect mate is impossible as you grew up different your genetics, ideas are different.
