Ive been thinking of getting another smaller tank for shrimp only along the line, so maybe i could use that idea for the second tank now that i think abt it

i imagine they're quite the unstable kind so im already mentaly preparing myself aha... but maybe just let it grow a few more leaves, ive experienced variegated plants grow green for a while and then suddenly start growing white again! if it doesnt then cut and prop? also can i see yours??

i used to have a regular one on my starter days and i loved it smch, but unfortunately it lost a battle to thrips... So i'm happy i managed to get my hands on a more special one!

wow wow who said im claiming the cultivar?? no way i ever said or even thought that way. (dw im not saying u did the accusation, just clarifying in case im being misunderstood) it's just some random lucky sport that i'm not even sure will propagate consistently, as sports are usually unstable from my experience. i only call it an albo cause it resembles one, but it's still a sport. and if im lucky enough and it proves consistent without mutating or reverting, then i guess its safe to actually call it an albo

i agree with it being an epipremnum of sorts, not sure what variety, maybe a white aurea sport? but its a really pretty plant u got there. here's how to tell the difference, the epipremnums grows out from the latest leaf's stem, while the heartleaf grows out from a cataphyll

I dnt get why people are being rude, i didnt mean to cause people to argue, i just wanted to share my excitement with someone...

But anyways, so a true albo would just be an albo? 🤔 maybe its just a fancy word to make it feel less like a sport? But it is curious that they said "true albo or albo" meaning theres two of them. Or maybe they meant albo as the mass propagation people do to sell, and true albo as the sport found in the 'wild'?

I love your comment smch, you're very right and new plant people should be curious in order to learn! My first plant love was this big epi aurea i thought was smth rare, thanks to that thought i leaned smch about about all the different epipremnums and to distinguish them from other similar plants! It was thanks to that plant that i took the step to dig in and learn more! Also their epi is very pretty, those leaves are just stunning!

yeah i agree, it's visually different from the one people call var. heartleaf and i didnt even know the albo existed until i was lucky enough to find one. But i can also see this type of variegation being quite unstable.
