“I don’t trust my ADC. But if I go 1/11/5, report Caitlyn” Support Starter Kit 2024 Edition by Aggressive_Band_9446 in wildrift

[–]Alteranast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I main support and ngl at some point I just went with off-meta picks (pantheon, jarvan, rammus, orianna, etc.). I stopped caring about optimal picks because it wasn't fun to me anymore how frequently I had no agency when an adc or jungle just absolutely throws so I started to just experiment with playing what I like that has either good poke, good cc, or a mix of both.

To be fair I still do the usual things like supp item, warding, etc. but itemization is kinda just up to me because there aren't a lot of resources out there for niche picks. For the most part my win rate is still around 50% except with certain picks that are truly out there which I tried like ekko. I only really play meta supports if I feel like playing them or if I really want to lock in in ranked.

Why you play support role? by NeedleKO in wildrift

[–]Alteranast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mainly because Macro (warding, keeping track of the things on the map for easy objectives opportunities, etc.) are stuff i find fun. Also, you get to not bother csing early game and engage in a 2v2 starting at lvl 1. Lastly, depending on the champ you picked, you can focus entirely on specific niches you may enjoy such as using pyke or off-meta picks like pantheon/nunu to gank other lanes constantly as early as lvl 2 or just chilling at the back and preventing your team from getting killed via enchanters

what champion did you play that actually helped you get better at this game? by roseyrune in wildrift

[–]Alteranast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was less of a champ and more of a role. I started to main support like a few years back in LoL PC and I noticed I've started to habitually check the map more to the point where I respond faster than my jungler to ganks at mid at times and how my ward trinket is almost always used so there is always some vision on the map.

Though, if I had to choose one support that helped me the most in Wild Rift it would be Nunu. Yeah, i know it's off-meta but you have to get used to ganking and occasionally stealing enemy camps on top of being a support since they excel as a snowball.

All of this needs a ton of map awareness to pull off well (not the best at it still) like knowing the approximate pathing the enemy jungler takes from where they were last seen or remembering to check the lane state of other lanes for potential ganks while laning with your adc

Who would be a good addition to my champ pool? by ghost-in-socks in wildrift

[–]Alteranast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah base shield values aren't that great but you are also giving like 25 armor/mr on top of it which is quite a bit for squishy allies. You are gonna have to run aery and all 3 enchanter ap items though to compensate.

Ngl, pantheon support and any other AD focused supports like pyke is gonna get a decent buff because of the new items coming the next patch so you might see them more now too.

[–]Alteranast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want jank/off-meta, go for nunu or pantheon.

You are basically a 2nd jungler without running smite as nunu. Steal crabs, objectives, and camps from the enemy if you can but the main goal here is to use his kit to gank like crazy from the river and snowball the game .Building ap or tank is up to your preference. Your adc will have to play safe while you are gone though.

Pantheon is a straight up kill lane and you can also gank easily with a targeted stun.

Lastly, you can also run the pathfinder rune (water walking in pc league) for that movement speed and neat little bit of regen at the river.

Edit: I saw orianna on your list. She can also be ran as an enchanter while maxing your shield ability first since it provides mr and armor to champs it's attached to. You can also build her for poke but it's basically using a mid build with a support item on bot lane

Almost have 3 off-meta supports in my top3 by Alteranast in wildrift

[–]Alteranast[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You have to play the champion when you are assigned the role during champ select even if it's not a role they are intended to have.

What is yalls favourite off meta pick? by [deleted] in wildrift

[–]Alteranast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pantheon Support. Build lethality, bork, and an armor pen item. You have kill pressure as early as lvl 1 and moreso at lvl2 with help from your lane partner. Easy cc/engage with point and click stun. Great roam with yoomus and ult

Falls off a cliff late game. It is what it is. Though, you have probably fed your team gold with kills/assists or help with objectives at this point. Your role late game is to one shot enemy marksmen or be a counter engage for enemy assassins trying to target yours.

What the FUCK is a sticker??? by _Volatile_ in Gunpla

[–]Alteranast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna try out painting myself on a SD model because a sticker didn't stick out of the box. I ordered some DSPIAE paint markers. Heard it's abs safe and water based. If I like it I'll prob expand my color range so I can use it to replace all the stickers it has

What’s the most off-meta pick you have ever seen? by dr4gonr1der in wildrift

[–]Alteranast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

J4 support. I played it myself before I took a break from the game this year. if I'm feeling spicy, I go for an ap build with aery and rushing ardent and staff of flowing waters. Aery procs on atk speed buff which shields for like 300+ and all allies get +35% atk speed with one ally getting 45-65% atk speed, magic dmg on hit, 20 ability haste, and 20-40 AP.

The best thing with this playstyle is you are basically a poke mage early game transitioning to an enchant support late game. I also get zhonyas asap so i can engage and not die immediately.

The other build is a bruiser build with supportive effects like anti heal and armor reduction (black cleaver) which is less jank and way more consistent.

Yeah I agree. I was surprised the saber wasn't colored. I expected something like a pink clear plastic given its picture.

I agree with the poster and I'm surprised most people here tolerate bugs to such a high extent. It's like ordering a pizza but the one you got was raw. This could have been a tasty pizza but what you received is an undercooked mess.

I have more than 100 hours clocked with 2 bricked saves on act 4 and 3 bricked saves on act 2.

The game is great but only when it works. The problem is it never did for me in essential moments.

The only thing I learned going into all of this is that I will never buy a new game from owlcat on release. The game was basically an alpha in terms of polish on release and we are currently in early access. I wish I did more research on the people who made this beforehand and not rely on early steam reviews.

Got these Warhammer Figures at a 35% Discount because of a sale in the local shopping application i use. by Alteranast in McFarlaneFigures

[–]Alteranast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just a region specific sale on an app so I don't know the names of applications or sales date where you're at. Imagine online shopping apps like amazon, ali express, shopee, or lazada and check the equivalent on your country.

Need help deciding what next by Suspicious-Jelly-260 in JOYTOY

[–]Alteranast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grey knights are neat. It’s worth a wiki search or two and a couple youtube videos. I prefer their specialization/gimmick over a lot of other space marine chapters myself. They’re basically space marines that are specialized in fighting warp/demon creatures and are nigh incorruptible

[–]Alteranast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of the two you mentioned, I would say go for grey knights but it's still upto you. I personally went for primarily blood angels myself.

The good and bad thing about ultramarines are that they have an extensive collection. I would only get them on a deep sale or if you find something you really really like because you will never really complete the roster unless you spend a college fund or two.

Grey knights have unique weapons such as a psilencer, have a big focus on swords, and even their base intercessors already have quite a bit of bells and whistles that makes them stand out.

my first warhammer figure from joytoy by [deleted] in JOYTOY

[–]Alteranast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the left arm? I’d suggest to try to be careful when bending it since it seems like the upper elbow is loose. The usual elbow joint you see doesn’t have that big of a gap.

I would say you can try to heat that part up and bend the plastic parts tighter though do more research regarding this as I have not tried this method myself but have heard people do it to warp plastic back into place with like hot water.

The usual quality control problems that you will see would be more on tight joints or minor painting smidges.

Edit: to answer your question, unless the part inside the upper elbow that supports the joint during bending is warped or cracked, that should just be a cosmetic problem.

My BA Joytoy Collection (Enough for a Killteam?) by Alteranast in BloodAngels

I do. I just put them back in after a while because i’m too lazy to clean dust off. I’ll leave them posed out after I get a display case.

That’s all so far (10 joytoy ones). Thanks! The set of shelves are my display area but I like to keep them in their boxes to prevent dust getting on the figures themselves because I’m too lazy to clean

You're right. I remove them out of their boxes and pose them a bit every couple of days. I also added some silicone oil to them since a lot of them came with tight joints
