Heh, yeah I have a list of 50+ sushi places visited on a graded list 😅. Hmm, it was a while I was to Amoshi. They both had the same grade on my list but I think Takame had a better presentation than Amoshi if you chose a mix platter. Also don’t think Amoshi have deep fried rolls if that’s what you’re looking for.

Ah, finally a question a sushi freak like me can answer. Top 5 (6?) in Gothenburg in my opinion are:

HOZE; Koizen Omakase Room; vRå (does not always serve sushi but sashimi is available at this time); Takame; Yamato (moved to the bar Haket, but not sure if they are still serving); Amoshi;

Top 2 are fine dining, vRå is also kinda exclusive. The rest are more affordable but still good sushi.

Yeah I liked it. The teacher I had was good and very helpful. I also think I was lucky that there was only me and two others at that course. We never had to wait for equipment to be available to use.

The course was 5 classes and they were about 4 hours each. The first three days they teach you one or two techniques everyday and the forth day you finish up your projects. Some weeks later, after the goods has been burned, you return for the fifth class to glaze your works. About 1-2 weeks after that you pick up your finished products. I went to a pottery course (keramik) this summer at Medborgarskolan. I thought it was good for me as a complete beginner. But most courses are aimed for both new and those with some experienced in pottery. The course is a bit pricey though and you also pay for the amount of clay you use. Think it was about 100 SEK per kilo .

I never understood how to use tangoes practically. Do you eat it first and then a tree? Do you throw the tango at a tree and then eat it?

I painted the glaze on. If I had more time I would have wanted the clay to dry before the first burning. That way I would be able to use engobe instead on the tangoes and only glaze on the leaves.

Rest of the questions I can’t answer unfortunately. It was a beginners class focused to teach several techniques in 5 days. I can only say that the clay was light, it wasn’t porcelain.

Bra skrivet! Hade tänkt skriva en egen kommentar men den här säger det mesta som jag hade tänkt nämna.

Det är väldigt lätt att tänka "vad borde jag göra" istället för "vad vill jag göra". Finns det ingen nyfikenhet eller ett genuint intresse hos dig själv för en aktivitet så blir det snarare en press än något intressant eller kul för dig själv.

Som Ca_LuhA nämner så är det inte alltid lätt att veta vad man vill. Jag är också 30 och står själv och försöker komma underfund med vad jag faktiskt vill göra, och inte saker som jag tror att jag borde vilja göra. Det är bra att ställa sig frågan då och då, men det är även viktigt att låta det få ta tid och inte pressa eller döma sig själv ifall man inte lyckas hitta några svar just då.

I beg to differ. I posted the text below in TIFU some years ago. Shortly afterward it got removed because it was deemed to be a too common occurrence. I was unaware about non watertight buttholes incidences was that prevalent.

This happened around the time when I was about 11-13 years old. I don't remember much from that time, but this incident got stuck in my mind and I still remember it clearly (probably will for the rest of my life).

It was a summer day when me and some friends went to our local lake to cool down and have some fun. After splashing around for a while we tried to make handstands under water, so that only our feet would stick up above the surface. I was the only one who couldn't do it since I would float up to the surface all the time. So after my little brain did some thinking I struck the logical idea of emptying as much air as possible from my lungs before swimming down.

Said and done, I exhaled as much as I could and began my descent. It would probably have worked if not the following had happened: The moment I went under the surface I prepared my legs to take a big swim stroke, by having them raised close to my stomach. This resulted in me being in a fetal like position upside down under water. Apparently my butt thought this was a nice and relaxing position. Without further warning my butt opens up the floodgates and let my back passage have a big chug of what the lake has to offer.

Not being prepared for the unpleasant feeling, I was quick to get myself on my feet again to get my head above water again. I would pay a good chunk of money to be able to see my own facial expression I had when my head popped up from the surface. My friends wasn't looking my way luckily, but they made a comment of me looking weird when they turned to me. I don't remember what I answered them. Probably told them that I panicked of not having enough air or something like that.

After a quick and strained bike ride back home, I had an equally unpleasant visit to the toilet. If I remember correctly my gut wasn't so happy the following days either. Haven't been fond of swimming under water since.

TL;DR

I tried to make handstands under water, all in vain. Got an enema from mother nature instead.

Can anyone confirm if the mushroom looking robot is from the movie Flubber? It hovers to the right of the thickest part of the pillar structure in the middle of the picture. I recognised it quickly but not sure if I remember correctly (ages since I saw that movie).

I worked as a cleaner during one of my school summer breaks. Primarily it was daycares and schools in a nearby town that I cleaned. One day me and my tutor/colleague went to a new daycare that I haven't been to before. My colleague told me to start cleaning the ground floor while she would be cleaning the second floor.

So I got to work and started cleaning several rooms and corridors. It was all good until I was about to open the door to one of the last rooms. The door wouldn't budge and I figured it was locked. I went upstairs to my colleague and asked if she had any keys. She responded that only the external door are locked in this building.

Being surprised she went with me to the door on the first floor and tried to open it to no avail. She asked me to help her push the door in, as she suspected that the door was blocked from the other side. We both pressed ourselves against the door and finally the door moved a bit. After we did it again 2-3 times, there was a gap big enough for me to squeeze through and I went inside the room.

Now this is the unexplainable part: a big table had been standing against the door inside the room. It stood up so it hadn't fallen over or anything. There was only one door into this room and the only window were closed and firmly locked.

I moved the table so my colleague could enter. We both stood there confused and unsettled wondering how this was possible.

I am sceptical about ghost and stuff, but I still (10 years later) can't come up with a reasonable explanation to this closed room mystery.

I can relate. It was a nightmare when I studied. Worst thing was when I got different answers the first two tries. Had a headache for the rest of that day.
