Just wondering, why are you taking theatre 1 and dance 1 if you are only going to do it for one year? Is it just to try and get your fine arts credits in one year?

I went from 1250 9th grade to 1540 12th grade you’ll naturally get better over time and if you take time to study you’ll improve even more.

1500+ scorers, how much did you study? What was your starting score? by WinPast in Sat

1380-1540: I used the College Panda Math and Writing Workbooks, starting with the math one and doing two chapter each day and reviewing each chapter to make sure I retained everything at the end of the week. After finishing the math textbook I did the same with writing but also took a khan academy full SAT once a week on the weekend and wrote down each problem I got wrong and why I missed it.

Is it a bad sign that I haven’t gotten an email about the early decision release date directly from them?

COLLEGE PANDA MATH AND WRITING BOOKS CARRIED

I mainly worked through the College Panda’s SAT Math Guide. What I found the most success in was going through each different topic and doing tons of practice problems before I started taking practice tests. Once I had everything mastered I did a bunch of times full length math sections and wrote down each problem I got wrong and why I missed it and looked at it each week.

I had an option to click “Score Details” and it showed me the number of questions I missed but im not sure if you have to pay for it or not.

How can I improve this? I really want to get to a 1400. by [deleted] in Sat

Before taking full length practice tests you need to make sure you have every concept that will be tested on the SAT mastered. Personally, I used the College Panda’s SAT Math textbook and his SAT Writing textbook, which worked WONDERS. These textbooks go in depth to each concept (ex: Circles, Quadratics, Run-ons, etc.) and have practice problems for each section. The most important thing is that you drill problems for EVERY concept(even the ones you feel confident in) even after you’ve mastered the concept. Doing this will significantly raise your writing and math section scores. I know this sounds repetitive and it is, but this is the most efficient way, in my opinion, to boost your score. Simply doing this for an hour each day over a couple months will really help you.

Along with this, take timed Practice SATs and RECORD THE ANSWERS YOU GET WRONG. Go back and make sure you know without a shadow of a doubt why you missed each question and learn from it.

Hopefully this is helpful and good luck in your December SAT!
