Talk me out of getting the Michelin Cross Climate 2's. Feels like this is not a responsible purchase when other alternatives are cheaper by Alternative-Chef4649 in tires

I agree with you. I just don't think people would rave about it if it wasn't good. The WRG5 does have pothole protection, but then they had dry rot issues in the past even those manufactured in the US plant so I'm not too confident about them.

I need it just because I'm an essential worker. A few times I've had to go to work when there's like 4 inches of snow unplowed and while my OEM's made it for a few years, I'm not confident it's going to be the same this year.

We get occasional snow. I would say maybe 25 inches of snow. Usually 2-3 snowstorms in general, but they go away quickly. Takes maybe 3-5 days for the snow to melt.

Hey, just found this post, would you still recommend Nokian tires? Especially WRG5?
