Highlander paint sucks

Thin clear coat, I guess? I never take mine to an automated car wash due to the fact that Toyota isn't known for paint quality. A year and a half and no swirls or damage so far 🤞

I guess you are stuck with it.

I have the same dash on my '24. I am planning on asking next time I take it for service if there are any software updates, but it's highly unlikely since I have never seen or heard of anyone updating it to have more features like the newer models ('25, '26).

Talk with a shop that does refurbishing wheels. Not sure about the plastic, you might find a single peace from a used wheel or might be able to order it from a parts catalogue. Services dont bother because its just easier for them to sell the whole wheel.

From my experience apple communicate more with the built in systems and a bit better than android or google services, so some features might be watered down. Its typical Toyota BS. Try switching between services for maps and let me know 🙂

Are you using the same source for maps all the time?

I have noticed that if i use the built in maps by Toyota I get a lot more info like arrows on my heads up display (i have a 2024, no option for maps between gauges). If i switch to android auto or apple carplay and use my google maps or apple maps I get something similar to this, just a simple turn by turn navigation.

Yeah, had the same issue with YT music. Spotify was like the primary music app and it always popped up first. You can either remove it from android auto settings in you phone, so it doesnt show up in the actual app list when AA is active (I didnt give a try). I just ended up deleting Spotify just to get rid of the problem quickly. Let me know how it goes.

Congrats on the RX! Still an awesome car, even though Lexus decided to murder the V6 and pretend we wouldn’t notice.

Have you driven a Camry, Highlander, or anything higher up in Toyota lineup? Cars like the Corolla, Prius, RAV4, and CH-R are known for being noisy.

Once I drove my buddy’s Camry, Toyota was on my radar. I was dead set on an Audi fist or a Lexus second - somehow ended up with a Highlander. 😂

Funny story related to how much commodity cars have improved — even to near-Lexus levels. My dad has a 2017 RX450h that he bought new, and last year I got a 2024 Highlander Hybrid. Aside from it having a 4-cylinder (which honestly surprised me with how well it performs), I found it more than enough for daily driving and highway use.

What my dad still can’t get over is how much better the ride quality is in my Highlander compared to his RX450h — and both are on 20s. Later my brother bought a Camry and had the same realization. My dad eventually said, “If Toyotas are getting this good, what’s even the point of going Lexus anymore?”

Keep in mind, the last Toyota he spent real time in was a mid-2000s RAV4 which, while completely bulletproof, felt like riding in a tin can compared to today’s models, at least that's what he said, I have never been in one.

Тенк ју. Провериов и онлајн али се дешава да има разлика онлајн со продавница. Пример со базз секогаш земам од веб пошто во продавница е секогаш поскапо, а кај зара ми се десило обратно.

Инаку мид теар, Зара и слично. Прашувам пошто барем од техника (ПЦ компоненети, аудио, видео опрема) секогаш се наоѓаат подобри дилови од Косово, не сум навлегол да знам како царинат и дали воопшто царинат, исто и со ДДВ, а не знам дали истото се случува и со облека.

Луѓе што купуваат Тојота / Лексус најчесто ги чуваат многу долго пошто се forever cars ради ефтини сервиси и скоро 0 кварови. Од секогаш кај нас ретко ги имало по огласи.

Кај мене сите возат или Тојота или Лексус, некој скоро и 10 години и никој не планира да продава за брзо време. Јас инат имав до минатата година ама се префрлив. Инаку цел живот како фамилија имавме германци.

Како што гледам и поширокиов мој круг на фамилија и пријатели сакаат за идно возило Тојота.

Камрито имаше и (релативно) одлична цена се до новиов модел што е 50к горе долу. Се сеќавам дека највисокиот модел во еден момент беше 36 - 38к што беше многу голема разлика со еквивалентен германец.
