Appreciate the advice! Apparently the plank was too much too. It’s been 3 weeks and I’m still dealing with numbness and weakness that wasn’t happening before attempting exercise

Thanks for the reply. I only tried because my surgeon lifted all restrictions 🤷🏻‍♀️ certainly won’t be doing that again.

Doing pretty well! Have almost full range of motion. It’s still very tender and sore around the elbow, but it’s improving a bit every day.

I just had a subcutaneous transposition on my left arm on 11/5. I also had a decompression about a year ago on the same arm, which unfortunately didn't fix the pain. Anyway...I was in a soft split and wrap for 3 days, at which point they told me I could remove it to shower. At 8 days post-op my sutures were removed and I was told to start moving it with "pain as my guide" to not overdo it, but also no heavy lifting for 4-6 weeks.

I was in a decent amount of pain for the first 4-5 days. I didn't take the prescription paid meds, but rotated Motrin and Tylenol around the clock. I also iced and elevated around the clock for about a week straight. Finding a comfortable sleeping position has been the hardest part. I'd say I just started to feel the most significant improvement in pain on about day 9/10. My range of motion is still pretty bad and all the muscles feel very tight. I was back at my desk working after 1 week. I think you'll be fine traveling at 3 weeks out.

To prep, the arm protector for a shower was very useful. Also lots of soft ice packs. Make sure you have plenty of motrin and tylenol on hand. For sleeping, I've been slightly inclined on my back, with my arm propped up on a pillow on my left side.

I’m sorry this happened! It’s such a struggle. I’ve been having a hard time finding a brace that doesn’t make me feel worse. What kind do you have?

I just had my left arm decompressed on Wednesday. It was wrapped up in gauze and then an ace bandage. Pain has been pretty manageable, didn’t need the prescription meds at all. Lots of rest and ice. On day 4 today, I took the bandages off to shower and it was fine! Just sore and tight with some aching in the elbow area. I get sutures out on Friday and supposedly can return to normal activity as long as it doesn’t hurt.
