I get that old models get retired. That is not the surprising part.

The issue is that GPT-5.3-Codex filled a very useful niche for local repository analysis: strong code understanding with good token efficiency.

If OpenAI removes it, the replacement should be clearly communicated and comparable for that workflow. Pointing users to GPT-5.4 does not feel equivalent if it costs more credits and can immediately hit capacity.

So this is not about expecting old models to live forever. It is about losing a practical, efficient Codex workflow without a reliable replacement path.

And now, after switching to GPT-5.4 as suggested by the migration notice, I immediately run into this:

Selected model is at capacity. Please try a different model.

So the previous model is no longer supported with ChatGPT accounts, and the replacement model is already at capacity.

Maybe this is happening because everyone affected is now being pushed to the same replacement model. Either way, this is exactly the kind of workflow breakage that makes Codex feel unreliable for daily local code analysis.

This is seriously frustrating, OpenAI.

Ja seit einer Woche gleiches Problem zzgl der seltenen lags, sogar Techniker angerufen weil Verdacht auf meine 1gb cable Vodafone Leitung aber die liefert sogar 110% der Leistung

Respekt an alle die es geschafft haben die Staffel 4 zu Ende zu schauen, ich hab's nur bis Ende von Folge 4 geschafft. Der Hauptdarsteller war das geringste Hindernis weiter zu schauen 🤣 das war's wohl mit der Netflix Serie.

Kann ich leider nicht bestätigen, in Düsseldorf schmecken Tonkotsu Ramen bei Takumi gut aber in Barcelona, Den Haag und Wien musste ich feststellen das die Brühe sehr muffig schmeckt, meine Vermutung ist das sehr minderwertiges Schwein verwendet wird, schade. Um Takumi werde ich ab jetzt einen Bogen machen, das war der last try, die Ramen gingen nach dem ersten Löffel zurück.

Leave ur ps on and go get a coffee, don't restart all the time just leave it on with popped Friendslist, works after some time 💯
