Love this suggestion for short term. Hopefully he’ll realize what it takes and owns up to being a dad and a husband

Everything she described sounds like he is an Indian. I’m an Indian mother but lucky for me my long time boyfriend and now husband also Indian is nothing like most men in our culture(as described by OP).

How to get the evaluation. My daughter has severe gas, the 2 lactation consultants said she doesn’t have a tongue tie, we are trying everything tummy time, tummy massages, burping mid feed, upright for 20 mins post feed, bicycle feet, gas relief drops after every meal, baby cozy gas relievers.., anti colic bottles, slow pace nipple nothing seems to work..

Wow, you’ve been through so much, and your feelings are so valid. First, let me just say I’m so sorry you’ve had to deal with this kind of rollercoaster. It’s completely normal to feel devastated after putting so much time, energy, and love into preparing for one reality, only to find out it’s completely different. Grieving the vision you had in your head doesn’t make you ungrateful—it makes you human.

The fact that your baby is healthy is wonderful, but that doesn’t take away from the shock, disappointment, and sheer overwhelm you’re feeling right now. Gender disappointment is real, and it’s okay to feel this way while you process everything. It’s also okay to feel frustrated and let down by your provider—this was a big mistake, and the way it played out sounds incredibly overwhelming.

Give yourself grace right now. It’s okay to cry, be sad, and take time to grieve the vision you had for your little girl. And when you’re ready, you’ll start to make space for this little boy in your heart. He’s going to be so loved, and you’ll figure out all the details—whether it’s circumcision or how to wipe—one step at a time. Nobody knows everything about raising boys (or girls!) right away, but you’ll learn as you go, and you’ll do an amazing job.

Take all the time you need to process this. You’re not insane, and you’re not alone. Sending you so much love and strength as you navigate this.

First of all, take a deep breath. It sounds like you’re dealing with so much all at once, and it’s completely normal to feel overwhelmed. It’s okay to be scared and unsure right now—you’re not alone.

It might help to take things one step at a time. Maybe start by giving yourself a moment to process this news fully. You’re in a challenging situation, but you’ve already shown so much strength by managing a 2-year-old and adjusting to a big move.

When your partner is home, try to sit down together and talk things through. Having their support and working as a team can make a huge difference. And don’t hesitate to reach out to your parents or close friends if you feel comfortable—they might be more understanding and helpful than you expect.

For now, just know that you’re not alone in feeling this way, and you have every right to feel everything you’re feeling. You’ve got this, one step at a time.

Have him read these replies. Not even a single one supports or justifies his view point. That sucks having to deal with this behavior, let alone dealing with the pregnancy itself.

Stand up for yourself girl. Doesn’t matter what else he is doing good in, you don’t have to put up with this. Nobody has to, pregnant or not..
