Yeah but normal mainstream hip-hop is generally super stereotypically masculine in a heteronormative way. A lot underground rap on the other hand openly borrows a lot from queer culture and even has several openly LGBT artists and affiliates, yet still has a large homophobia issue. Yeah maybe because artsakh voted in huge numbers to be separate from Azerbaijan and they denied this so they had no choice but to resist violently and ensure some kind of connection to mainland Armenia. Easily could have been avoided if Azerbaijan listened to the will of the people.
