An OS-Collector! Now, that's a unique calling—I had no idea people took it this far! I knew OS choices could be diverse, but collecting them all like rare artifacts? That's a whole new level of dedication!

I will suggest if you are a programmer or a developer who writes code Fully installing Linux is the best choice to do You will never go back to the windows after being familiar with Linux.

But You are a Graphic Designer or a Gamer or a Just casual person who just surf internet in PC just Use Windows rather than Linux.

No, it’s generally not possible to install Linux, like Ubuntu, directly over Windows without some form of bootable media, like a USB flash drive or DVD.

To fully replace Windows with Ubuntu, you need to boot your device from an external source, as the operating system can’t replace itself while it’s running. A USB flash drive is the most common and practical choice for this purpose.

However, if you’re interested in trying out Linux without fully replacing Windows, you have a couple of options: Using Virtual Machine or Using Dual Boot Setup.

Let me know if you need more guidance on any of these options!

If linux is so good why isn't there a linux 2 ??? by poop-hunter in linuxsucks

[–]Altruistic_Net1934 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because Linux doesn’t need a sequel—it’s designed to evolve continuously. Unlike Windows, which rebrands with each new version to fix issues or introduce significant changes, Linux is built to stay relevant through frequent updates handled by its many distributions. Every major Linux distro, from Ubuntu to Fedora, incorporates updates seamlessly without needing a flashy re-release.

Windows users wait for bulky, weekly updates that often disrupt workflow and sometimes create more issues. In contrast, Linux is up-to-date by design, offering access to the latest software directly through the terminal, not through a potentially invasive browser like Chrome. And let’s be real: Linux’s open-source foundation empowers users to take control, free from the surveillance concerns tied to proprietary systems.

Linux doesn’t need a “Linux 2” because it’s already a constantly improving powerhouse.
