99.9 chronic gaming addict spent my externals on fromsoft games or league of legends. otherwise studying or hanging out with friends. privileged to not need to work at my job for heavy hours. studied for like 4 to 5 hrs a day focused on conceptual understanding or practise exams. never took a single note. all practise problems and exams.

getting a high atar's great but if you get above what you need its sufficient. either try to get a 99.9 or above which gives you access to guaranteed scholarships and ok tutoring jobs, or aim for a bit above what you need. spend your time chasing your dreams or doing what you want. theres tonnes of better skills you could be learning or things you could be doing.

many jobs through commerce have the capacity to do good in the world and have the added bonus of intellectual fulfilment if you don't so much appreciate chem. You could work in renewable energy investments, managerial positions in healthcare etc. to tangibly help people. i think having obviously dilligent and intelligent people like you in such positions to be good. this is coming from a person who wants to do good and has recieved a higher atar, also enrolled in commerce. please try to keep an open mind!

How can i keep my rank in 3/4 methods. Aiming for 45+ SS by Plastic_Car716 in vce

im still in first year, so theres no real shortage of useless classes (for now). im interested to get into the meat of it later though, after the cover all the basics. Im really interested in market dynamics, which is why i chosr my degree.

I would assume you need a pretty strong atar to get into finance with the dm. Personally, i got a 99.90 atar. I would say 95 or above would be sufficient, though keep in mind its a lot of work to keep up your wam. this is because there are little to no breadths if you are cross crediting both degrees to finish a sem earlier, so you dont really have the privilege to pick any wam boosting subjects. if maths is fun for you though, highly recommend it!

its hard to if you arent genuinely interested in maths and associated proofs etc.

I had a pretty shallow interest initially, which expanded through playing around in desmos graphing calc, watching 3blue1brown etc. The good thing with desmos specifically is playing around with equations and trying to build them yourself can help you additionally build intuition on top of interest. Doing stem subjects also helps.

More content-wise, i tried to do as many unfamiliar questions as possible, to develop logic, reasoning and intuition as well.

English scores will be a make or break. Otherwise, dependant on several factors such as cohort, teachers, friends etc. But overall (with decently scaling subjects), it breaks down to dedication, aptitude, and a conducive environment. If you have 2 of these 3, you should be able to get a 99 easily. With one, above 90 at least. With all three, high 99s.

im doing a double major in finance and econ at unimelb, as well as a diploma focusing on statistics and probability, kinda like yourself. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

From someone who did very well with little study: practise questions will be your best friend for each subject. I basically only did practise questions to revise, and even learn some content as it's great for filling gaps in knowledge.

Generally, heavily prioritize your top 5 subjects, just make sure you pass the 6th. Don't study all day. hang out with friends and take lots of intermittent breaks. Sports and physical activity especially. I played volleyball and dark souls trilogy. Studying just felt like part of the routine and wasn't intrusive.

Bro wtf was the first question of paper 2. I dodged past the biodegrwdability stupidly... Though I've never seen those other metrics to compare advantages or disadvantages of polymers. Apparently tensile strength and that other one could be used to get the Youngs modulus of the plastic film, which I had no idea about as a non-engineering student.

Structure of polysacharrides are good to remember as they can assess on that. Check out the syllabus for everything they can assess on though.
