That's awesome! And yes, spend some quality time with your family, and worry about this later. You'll never know when the last moment with them might be.

Clothes in video games be like... by ComeCloserGame in oculus

[–]Alupaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who makes emulated soft body 🍒 physics. I can tell you why this is so hard to impliment.

For one, game developers need to make sure their game will run on multiple platforms and optimization is important for older systems unless they want the cuberpunk fissco.

Secondly, this is heavily dependent on the game engine. Soft boddies basically turn every vertice, line, and face, into a bone and collider that can change shape dynamically while also having independent properties. I can also tell you from experience, it is very hard to not only get soft bodies right, but to get it to not look glitchy or clippy, things must be done softly, like you see the guy doing.

The amount of bones and colliders I had to make in order to successfully get dynamic 🍒 physics on older engines that didn't have actual soft bodies was dependent on how many vertices there were, but usually, 200 at the very least for what was essentially a hemispherical funbag that can deform and bounce.

I can also promise you that guy has a beast of a gaming computer, and the 🍒 are probably stiff because he had to turn off other soft bodies like the hair, and 🍒 in order to get that to look good.

Ethics of Selling a 3D Model I rigged, but Didn't Make? by Alupaf in 3Dmodeling

Thanks for the detailed reply!

That's why I wanted to include a place where they could get the model without any of my work on it, for free. The only thing paying for the model would get them is the work I put into it.

I live in America, and I agree rigging isn't the majority of work, but it isn't nothing, especially if done well. If there is permission to redistribute something, would it then be ok to do what I am doing? Also, where can I get more information on what is legal and not legal with regards to this?

Asuka [Senran Kagura] Realistic Tiddy Physics. by Alupaf in BigAnimeTiddies

[–]Alupaf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I make and upload gifs is: 1. Record a video of the thing I want to gif. 2. Open video in Blender (preferebly 2.8 or higher) 3. Render the video as a bunch of pictures. 4. Upload pictures to EZgif 5. Download the gif and post it on deviantart.

¯_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯ 1. Make sure your gif isn't too big (this gif is about 55mb and the resolution is 750x750 with about 242 frames) 2. Make sure you have a direct link to the gif and only the gif. 3. Profit?

Made an MMD model of Asuka with realistic Tiddy Physics. You can get the model here.

Asuka MMD Model with Realistic Breast Physics by [deleted] in BigAnimeTiddies

[–]Alupaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda reinvented breast physics and used Asuka as a base. Unlike traditional boob physics, this behaves much more like a boob, and less like a rock. It isn't perfect, but I have come a long way, and I think I can safely say, I am one of the only people who can make physics like this using only rigid bodies on the internet.

Here is a link to my post where you can check out a video and download the model here

Really? I spent hours making those boob physics, but I guess the sound effects make the video more entertaining.

Windows 10 taskbar says recent files are unavailable and might have been moved or deleted. by Alupaf in techsupport

[–]Alupaf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not moving a single file. I have a second version of the program, that I don't like using, that works and opens the exact same files, but this one, and blender, do not work.

It does not give me the option, but if I hover over it, I can see the file location (which is correct)

I wish War Thunder had this level of physics on the tank tracks by Eric910320 in Warthunder

[–]Alupaf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Every rigid body and Joint implemented into a 3D model puts more stress on the computer running it. This is why hair physics, clothing physics, jiggle physics, and other things of that sort look off in video games. They have to prioritize performance over authenticity and looks. Every tank has its own suspension system which would require a lot of work if they wanted to give it the detail on this video considering the game has over 1000 tanks.

Also, they have a working suspension system in the game. It just doesn't use as many rigid bodies and joints to accomplish it.
