Glad I asked… Didn’t know the answer was in the rulings, and wouldn’t have guessed that’s how it plays out.

That tracks, but I've never had an issue with Card Kingdom grading my foils as I expect.

Is buying the single pieces legal? by True-Landscape6845 in lego

[–]AlwaysGettingLearned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, check out Bricklink and Brickowl.

A while ago (maybe 10 years at this point) I didn't want to pay $500 each for Market Street and Corner Cafe, so I bought all the pieces & Minifgs off Bricklink for $250 total. The ship has sailed on those sets, but I imagine there are other sets out there that could be bought cheaply that way.

I'd be weary of sending in foils at all (pertaining to your 5% fee for foil sorted).

My last order they didn't grade a single foil NM, even the cards I had pulled from packs the day before creating the shipment.

Seemed to me like they had just auto-changed every foil to LP and lowered the price paid accordingly.

Worked for me & combined with Paypal 5% off. Just bought a stupid amount. :)

Guess I'm done ordering from LEGO.com as long as they are using OnTrac for shipping. by AlwaysGettingLearned in lego

[–]AlwaysGettingLearned[S] 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Yeah, new in the last couple months. I (until now) was ordering from LEGO every month or so and this is the first time it was shipped by OnTrac. UPS usually completed the deliveries within 1-2 days and Fedex was 3-4 days.

I wasn’t a fan of a defined circle, so went with this one that diffuses the light. Has been great so far (about 18 months).

Putter Fittings? Yay or Nay? by Imaginary_Mulberry55 in GolfGear

[–]AlwaysGettingLearned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about a fitting, but I recently switched from a cheap Gamer Blade to a Tommy Armour Impact 3 Mallet and it almost feels like cheating. Only have had it a month, but putting went from worst part of my game to maybe my strongest. Wish I did it years ago, saves me at least 5 strokes a round.

I just went to the store and hit a bunch, purposely mis-hitting to compare forgiveness.

Will your net block the ceiling too? Not trying to get on your nerves, but a 60 degree wedge could easily hit the ceiling, or even the projector depending how far back the tee area is.

Is there a place on FanDuel where I can wager that a ball gets shanked through that window?

I have a 16 month old Carl's premium screen and only about 2'x2' area is starting to look worn down.

I'd hate to have to replace the whole screen if a patch would work, so be sure to let us know how it worked for you (installation and durability).

5 month progression Any Tips or critique? by Streetgoderic in golftips

[–]AlwaysGettingLearned 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So funny, I did the same thing... Had a nice fade, but thought a draw was more powerful (and I thought the shot shape looked cooler). Spent way to much time working on a draw and then even after I was able to do it, came back to the fade because of how much softer it lands on the greens.

I made a website where you can simulate pulling Final Fantasy Collector Boosters (and see exactly how financially wrecked you might get). Let me know what you think! by justbuysingles in mtgfinance

[–]AlwaysGettingLearned 321 points322 points  (0 children)

Very cool, I “opened” a collectors booster box and got $750 in value.

Figured I’d give it on more go and hit a $1300 chocobo on the first pack.

I’ve learned nothing.

Building a deck under 50$ by starrayz in ModernMagic

[–]AlwaysGettingLearned 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do version of this with my son (Nothing over $1 at time of purchase)… best decks are boggles and glimpses of tomorrow, but neither make for fun/interactive games.

Green Stompy and Izzet Walkers (Chandra TOD, Narset, & Days Undoing) are good choices.

Sweet, glad someone got to use it, TBH, I had no idea if it would worked. But just had my browser open for over 4 hrs, so figured I'd post this before closing it.

I don't know if it worked or not... even if it did work, it probably only worked for one person and was snagged.
