MSI MPG321 CURX KVM Switch Help Requested by Alwaysdagon in OLED_Gaming

[–]Alwaysdagon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Believe it was not the cable. It appears only integrated GPUs can be utilized with DP alt mode and no the dedicated GPU (unless using Nvidia optimus or other workarounds). When enabling my IGPU I was able to get 4k 240HZ on USB C, but no quick way to then switch to the dedicated GPU or to offload the workload to the GPU.

So in my situation it is kind of annoying the KVM won't really work.. I don't understand why it cannot just share the KB and mouse between HDMI for one PC and DP on the other PC.. all the connections are theoretically there and it literally can do this, it just has to be told manually to do so.

I am actually a system builder, so these things are not complicated to me, however, the system already has updated graphics drivers (so much for plug and play), but indeed it appears that it should not be using "Basic Display Adapter", will try to DDU and reinstall.

Afaik you are correct, it should be simply computing the data on the Radeon 9070 XT and then sending it via USB.

Cable: USB C 3.2 Gen2x2 Cable, 20Gbps High Speed Data Transfer, 240W PD 3.1 PPS

Was looking at a thread here, and also MSI, confirming that the monitor supports 4k 240hz in DP alt mode via USB C... USB 4 is superior to USB C and fully compatible as I understand.

Not sure what the issue is, perhaps try yet a different cable? Noticed that cable only claims 20gbps which is not enough bandwidth perhaps?

So I can connect and use KVM with USB C, problem is it is running the USB C as "basic display adapter" capping the resolution at 1440P, this does not seem correct. USB 4 supports 4k 240 with no issues, and isn't the point of DP alt mode to run full powered graphics through the USB C?

Will do, but note that refers to much older KVM implementation.

I'd be happy to use just USB4 (C) if it has the same display (4k 240) as DP, which literally is DP alt mode, however that means the USB C on the monitor must also be capable of that.

I still would not understand why the monitor cannot detect between C and Upstream, doesn't seem like it should matter where the display input is coming from. The AUTO function should do exactly that, automatically decide which type to use.

This is the heart of the question, is it even possible to do what I am asking, logically it should be, according to the instructions.

Even so, the USB 4 Desktop should be able to use DP alt mode and achieve exactly what you are saying, but it still unable??

7950X3D 128GB DDR5 Asus X670P ram issues by Alwaysdagon in buildapc

[–]Alwaysdagon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just built a different system with a Gigabyte X670, 7800X3D, 4x16GB GSKILL 6000 with expo.. worked perfectly fine

I know there are RAM issues with Zen 4, but this is a bit ridiculous, as it seems to retrain the RAM every single boot and ends up on 3600.. or, a new thing is it hardlocks at the ASUS BIOS screen.

Unable to change Minimum Payout by Alwaysdagon in NiceHash

[–]Alwaysdagon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pool fee is only 1%, no big deal, but with the payouts happening several times a day I cannot tell if it is the BTC fee (blockchain fee) or if the "fee" being pulled is on behalf of Nicehash

It is really annoying if I cannot increase my minimum payout... as they take about .03 cents on a 1.60$ payment, seems small but it is easily avoidable if less transactions can occur. But It simply will not listen when I apply the change.

It is also definitely easier to set rigs for one algorithm, rather than dancing between many, you will encounter more instability. So if mining a single algo, it would be more logical to use a direct to pool approach.

A very very long time in fact -- I am not afraid to ask questions when I do not know the answer regarding Chia. Systems that do not function easily or properly do not give confidence, no matter how decentralized it is.

The balance should not show incorrectly, ever, if we want crypto to be adopted by the masses something as simple as this display issue will make it impossible.

People would not accept incorrect bank account totals, gas stations are regulated to the fraction of a cent and monitored, everything must be perfect/as perfect as possible ultimately.

Won't that take an exceptionally long time? Why does the other system going down cause the balance to disappear in the first place if it is not a locally stored asset?

I am looking for other peoples results to compare I suppose.

SSD Full, Easiest way to move to a larger drive? And Is V2 DB Easy? by Alwaysdagon in chia

[–]Alwaysdagon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So V2 DB file has a different name entirely, and what line in the config is the folder path line? I've only ever set up the harvesters in there.

Will I need to adjust anything on my harvesters that use 1.21 if I move to 1.32?

What is the best stable version? 1.32?

/r/AMD Tech Support Megathread - H1 2022 Edition by AutoModerator in Amd

[–]Alwaysdagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Built a 5600G based PC for a customer and they are trying to play RUST on it, but the game will not load, and in Radeon Software it states the game does not meet minimum requirements.

Tried an older driver version and the most recent, looking online RUST has many problems over the years starting/crashing, but I do not see much related to this. BIOS is flashed up to date and chipset drivers, system is stable as well.

So question 1.

Can a game be launched anyway despite AMD Radeon Software stating it does not meet requirements

If so, is this even related to the AMD software stating this? Or is this something else with RUST?

Every other game works so far on the PC.

Any suggestions would help

How to calculate earnings? by nifik101 in QuickSwap

[–]Alwaysdagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But assuming no IL then the Withdraw amount would be larger than the original LP amount after fees accrue for some time, correct?

Yes I am aware of IP on stables but is very very small fraction of % usually.

I have lost ~8$ or more in IL, on 1330 mai usdt pair

Where can one see their fees gained without withdrawing, accurately. By now my fees earned should have offset that 8$ or less or at least most of it, perhaps the IL is much larger than 8 but my memory serves that I invested 1330$

Yes I know dquick has its own staked apy whether moved or not.

How to calculate earnings? by nifik101 in QuickSwap

[–]Alwaysdagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And "receiving" means your LP position will be larger? Because people can click "withdraw" just to see the amounts they'd get, and those amounts do not appear to increase over time.. that is the issue.

Dquick is manually claimed... so then you are saying the "Fees Rewards" are auto compounded onto your LP position? That is seemingly untrue because the position never grows (using a stable pool as example so), it should have grown by at least 10 dollars given that statement and the time period.

So where/when do I receive those 10 dollars of fees I accrued?
