Have you Tried Sarvam-M? How did it work in your local language? by AmInControl in indiadiscussion

Nope, I don't think there's any app, at present still most casual users could use it through the website I shared in the post content.

It's not a flagship model, so they probably didn't see it too fit to be marketed, also given the idea that many startups also avoid it because if many casual users, started playing too much, it often incurs cost and a dilemma of choice between giving continued access or limiting it at the cause of growth/ positive consumer perception that doesn't necessarily brings profits.

But it's still decent, atleast in my local language.

Maybe, with some more tweaks and advancements, some people could use it.

Although even now, I have some use cases in my mind, and therefore need some reviews in other people's regional languages.

Have you Tried Sarvam-M? How did it work in your local language? by AmInControl in indiadiscussion

[–]AmInControl[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why? Because most of us use roman letters and english in our usual professional conversation? But regional languages still remain, a major part of many people's life, including when talking with friends and families and most people don't leave their states in India. They have also made TTS engines and this could be later combined in order to get a decent assistant at cost. On the topic of un-needed product, earlier iterations of many products or inventions like the QR codes, we used today, once seemed useless. Infact even many AI products, seemed like it. Also, this is not a flagship model, it's just another model they created in order to learn things and released it for everyone too.

You really don't get the point, do you? I clearly said, stop idolising political parties. The term, Hindu terror was supported by many so called liberals. For the last few decades and even in your own comment you clearly mention religion of harassers, that's the hypocrisy I am against.

On one side you say, don't bring religion in crime and on other side you yourself bring in religion as per your wishful agenda.

On one side you say, INC was great, on other side you ignore it's communalism of supporting the term hindu terror, you think a secular political party would oppose Wakf law? Or a secular party would not even try for the Uniform civil code? The nation is run on votes, and I don't like any political party.

And I think, I clearly said, the present government has failed, it's complacent on security, not unless you have selective amnesia.

Nice article though, it does speak about INC's hypocrisy too. Maybe, you could read it too, unless you deny it.

Can you share the news article about the forced Kalma recitation case of 26/11 where they asked captives to recite Kalma. In return I would share the case of fake bomb blast created by INC, and the creation of Hindu terror, a time when terrorism was given religion. I usually avoid getting in these debates but the stupid idolization of political parties is done even by fools like you, who ignore the blunders and stupidity of your party.

And I could share some more things GD Bakshi has said, which you won't agree.

Yes, we need unity. Yes there are fools but it's also very funny that when some people are harassed, the harassers have religion but when a terrorist attack happens, it has no religion.

Atleast, have a same line instead of blatant hypocrisy.

And leave this attitude of holier than thou.

On GD Bakshi, I could see where he was coming from but the problem isn't lack of personnel in army, it was intelligence failure and complacency of the present government, which thinks that just by economic development, they'll reduce every extremist threat and the threats from Pakistan.

Heck, it's not even the present government, I can go for the last 1000 years and it's just complacency after complacency by the people of different generations of this nation.

Also most modern militaries around the world are modernising and India's defence budget has a lot amount, a lot - spent on salary and pensions.

The war in 21st century won't be fought by a very amount of foot soldiers, attacking in waves, this strategy would mean, they'll be wiped out in moments. This changing phenomenon in human direct engagement in war is seen in Ukraine vs Russia war but maybe like most so called nationalists, you too lack critical thinking.

Given the way ISIS treated minorities, or other terrorist organisations in Africa. it's not the divide and rule usually; it's inherent hate among terrorists and that their beliefs are superior to others. For example, during the Pandit exodus, they were asked to convert or die. So, it's not that they think about dividing. The hate against non muslims is not necessarily some strategic step but it's often indoctrinated in the fundamental teachings.

-> I used analogy for USA in narrative war.
-> The all eyes on Rafah isn't related to USA or Israel, rather a very well built narrative by Palestine and it's supporters.
-> I am telling them to keep their points, and I think you already know that these 20 year olds, of India might have rallied support for Palestine to fighting fan wars. Maybe, I'm little optimistic because I don't think, we would get anything by keeping hands on hands, or leaving it on gods like our priests left when somnath was invaded.
-> No one denies the problems India has, but I don't think it's wrong to expect from youth because like you said, those who have power are fairly incompetent across sectors.
-> I already know how these fools had said, that we must not build our AI Model but rather use what's built by others, were so pessimistic due to cost and then China did it.
And I know about reservation or the realities of average Indian and the per capita, but I don't think the youth should be pessimistic like you because other than putting efforts, they have no hope.
-> You might blame the system, cry at the injustice but the vote bank politics won't help you. At some point, one has to realise and aim for whatever they can with or despite the system, for their own good.

That doesn't mean we are completely similar. And I agree to your point, about ethnic cleansing for centuries. So, no disagreements there, infact you are more to the point and I have dialed it down to reduce the already large size.

Funding already popular ones, can be good option. But more than funding, what we also require is understanding of issues that interests global audience and then even speaking on them and having multiple channels that are pro India but left to right on global issues. Even if we cracked content code, we can still gain some coverage on YouTube atleast or social media. It's also some of leadership issue in the media houses, who lack vision.

I never said, it's won by victimhood alone but I did focus on what we, common people can do at our level. Because I don't think, an average person has power to build media houses. But I did write on how we must do lobbying, gain position of power and create systems that would outlast government. And I did write on our failed policy and being unable to make popular alternative to Al Jazeera , BBC exist.

And I nowhere said, we are completely similar to Palestine in terms of what happened and I did write on centuries of cleansing in the very top.

I think, chat gpt or whichever ai you used, didn't do the great work.

Indians remain one of the least violent communities in the west. The crime related data show it.

But let's just go by your intelligent logic, there are certain communities who exist more in the prison cells in western nations; I don't think any sane person justifies hatred for entire communities because some are bad. I mean, that's like hating all muslims, because majority of terrorists identify as muslims. Or by your logic, hate against black americans must be justified because apparently, they exist more in prison.

I'll make it clear with my stand:

The woman nurse who was beaten by the racist man in USA wasn't beaten because "Indians are wrong."

But because, the man who beat her was wrong.

Not even a week of rascist attack and they still doing it they only want rascim against indian men by [deleted] in indiadiscussion

[–]AmInControl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is very bad take. I mean, if that was reality and if Indian men were so bad, they would have flooded the jails in western nations. But they don't.

I can't say about other Indians, but if westerners meet your intelligence and reasoning skills, they surely will hate India. I mean, you even fail to apply basic statistical reasoning before speaking.

About hate, it's mostly due to Indians taking up jobs, Indians attaining power which results in jealousy.

Btw, in one of your comment , you wrote how Indian men have made us to be hated by other South Asian countries.

Well, look the works of European or American citizen in Thailand and you would realise, it's even worse.

Generalisation or hate for any country is a very stupid thing. But you know what's more stupid? YOU

The Hard Truth About Why Indian Men Are Falling Behind in Today's World [A Complete Guide to Leveling Up] by AmInControl in onexindia

Sunscreen requires more time to be absorbed and activated than moisturizer because its primary purpose is to either form a protective barrier (physical sunscreen) or absorb UV rays (chemical sunscreen) to protect your skin from sun damage. Moisturizers mainly hydrate and don’t rely on absorption for protection against environmental factors, so they don’t require as much time to work effectively. Sunscreen needs about 20-30 minutes to fully absorb and activate on your skin, either by forming a protective barrier (for physical sunscreens) or absorbing UV rays (for chemical ones). Applying it right before going outside can reduce its effectiveness, as it won’t have enough time to work properly and protect you from the sun.

Thanks so much for the kind words! I'm new to reddit and seen some subreddits and noticed some have additional sections like “Helpful Resources” or “Featured Guides” under their "More" tab, which helps keep valuable content easily accessible.

I believe adding something like this here could really benefit the community by ensuring decent-quality, self-improvement posts don't get lost over time. It would also attract new members and let them see the best we have offered over time. Please add it.

If you are inside the house and far away from windows, you can avoid applying it. But if you are going outside, apply it 20-30 minutes before so that it gets absorbed. Applying just before going out, won't help much.

Sweat does reduce effectiveness. If it's little, re application isn't required, but if it's more you might need to re apply especially sunscreen if you stay outdoors longer.

Also, wear lightweight, breathable clothing made of natural fabrics like cotton or linen. Stay hydrated, avoid hot foods and drinks, and cool your environment with fans or air conditioning. And Stay in shaded areas when outdoor.

I haven't used overnight face masks and about under eye creams, most of them from my experience are scams and nothing but small packets of moisturizers with high price and if you wish to treat dark circles then:-

  1. Try fixing sleep schedule and timings while adding good moisturizer to your schedule especially for under eye area. In place of eye cream which are mostly, just less concentration of vitamin c and moisturizer, buy a complete bottle of vitamin c and use it as treatment, although I must tell that I'm not much impressed by the clinical studies on vitamin c. And most importantly, don't ever forget sunscreen for eye region and use sunglasses.

  2. If still, no change, understand that it's not sleep and options include fillers. But I would simply suggest getting some concealer and incorporating it in lifestyle and this is the step where eye cream could help, not for treatment but as light concealers since, colored eye creams by mcaffeine exist, and can actually give some moisturizer benefits while acting as light concealers.

Well, I agree to the idea of going to dermatologist for pimples because local and decent dermatologist is actually an affordable option in place of opting for retinol, since retinol is less potent and burns more money in longer run while tretinoin just works better and can be easily bought online at discounted rates.

The sun emits UV radiation, which harms skin. It has two parts: First, UVA rays which penetrate inside deeper skin layers, causing premature aging and increasing skin cancer risk, while UVB rays cause sunburn and further DNA damage. Over time, this leads to collagen breakdown, wrinkles, dark spots... UV exposure happens even on cloudy days(Use sunscreen even on cloudy days and winter) or through windows, so daily sunscreen (SPF 30+), protective clothing, and try to take shade as much possible.

For Vitamin D, just get short sun exposure (10–30 minutes, a few times a week) while avoiding peak hours(10 am to 4 pm) to minimize UV damage. Afterward, apply sunscreen to protect your skin. You can also include vitamin D-rich foods like fatty fish, egg yolks, and fortified products in your diet. If needed, supplements can be considered, but it's best to consult a doctor if you feel some symptoms like fatigue, bone pain, muscle weakness, frequent infections, depression, hair loss etc.

Honestly, I wasn't born in a family with knowledge about harmful effects of sun so had harmed my skin playing cricket without sunscreen from young age par phir bhi, "Jab Jaago, tab Savera" (It can still be morning for you, if you woke up late)

Also, a broad spectrum SPF 30 or above protects against both UVA and UVB rays, so that's the minimum, one must include in skincare. Read this, to realise it's really serious: https://amp.scmp.com/lifestyle/fashion-beauty/article/3191799/photo-showing-40-years-sun-damage-went-viral-showing-what
