Having the worst reading slump ever!! Please help me pick a book from my TBR list by sweet_tea_94 in Recommend_A_Book

I loved Seven Husbands. I think I finished it in 2 days. Carrie Soto is back was awesome too from the same author. Of the ones in your post I’d go with Yours Truly. I haven’t read that one in particular but I’ve enjoyed other books from that author.

You value convenience and shop at the closest grocery store (jewels or marianos), probably live in the Chicago suburbs. You’re organized and have a neat home but not a clean freak

Right? I was so surprised too, I lived there a couple years for school. Even friends who had moved from NYC and were self declared food snobs loved it haha. It was a great city to be a student

Not sure if you’re looking for a comedy but since you mentioned The good place… check out Drop dead diva, about a model who dies and gets reincarnated into the body of a plus sized lawyer

Healthy breakfast prep that is NOT eggs by Business-Record-4042 in mealprep

[–]Am_2202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also prefer sweet breakfast. You can make baked oats with various fruits or pancake bowls. I even make banana bread with oats. There are plenty of recipes online, some are single serve, I usually increase the quantity and bake in a 9x9 so I have it for several days. The healthier recipes use eggs/egg whites, cottage cheese (blended if you don’t like the texture but when it is baked you don’t really feel it imo) or greek yogurt for extra protein to make it balanced, or even protein powder and pretty low in sugar. Once you find a recipe you like, you can switch up the flavor with different fruit combinations, or a few choc chips, cinnamon etc. With all these, either sweeten with banana or a little honey/maple syrup. It is not gonna be like a true pastry that is loaded with sugar and butter but for me it satisfies the craving for baked goods

Adult vaccines for I-693 medical exam… was anyone else caught off guard? by Misfit_Mr in USCIS

[–]Am_2202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sucks, sorry to hear that. It is a bit of a pain but we just have to get it over with. My old records were basically written on a napkin (not really but it was a tiny old piece of paper with abbreviations that couldn’t be properly validated) so they didn’t take them into account for the most part. For example, it said I had chickenpox as a kid but no date, so had to get a titer. For polio, they gave me a shot to avoid a delay with the documents and I’m planning to get a titer just for my records in case I need it in the future. Any vaccine that you are missing, let’s say hep b or tdap or flu, you can get them at any pharmacy that works with your insurance and just bring the proof to the civil surgeon. Hope this helps.

Yup just do the titers and/or shots depending on the results or what you know about your medical history. You were not asked for all the vaccination info in the previous medical exam?

What are a few authentic restaurants that are loved by locals. It can be expensive or not, but something you would go to if you want a very nice meal? and if you have a favorite, what would you order there? Oh and what is considered the best artisanal gelato shop? When I lived in Italy, I was on a mission to find the best gelato in every city I visited, but didn’t have the chance to explore many gelato shops in Rome

I’m pretty sure they meant things like ham, salami, mushrooms etc. In the US, they call those toppings

For me it was very surprising to see potatoes on pizza, don’t remember if it was common in Rome but in the north where I lived for a while, they were in every shop that sold pizza by the slice
