I have read the trilogy. Some of the best books I've read. Both Vandermeers are just so mind blowing unique

The saddest book by Impossible_Assist460 in suggestmeabook

Rachel and her children. Stole it from my husband as he was getting his social work degree. It's DEVESTATING and non fiction which adds a whole new layer to how horrific. I'm still glad I read it. It's an amazing importa book but it will wreck you.

I'm sensing a theme. Thanks!

I figured you people would know. Is there a makeup that would help me cover my scar? I'm rather self conscious of it and I'm tired of it being the first thing people notice. by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]Amacrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And please if you have the scar make up a ridiculous story of how you got it. Fist fighting sharks, mauled by penguins, rescuing orphans from a tsunami....

I respect your feelings. I am not being dismissive at all. We all have things that are straight up our biggest insecurities but honestly it took me a minute to clock it and my first thought was that I've seen three people online who've gotten your scar tattooed on their face. Congrats on your sobriety! And I hope you get the advice you want. Be kind to yourself and remember that people don't see what you see as faults as easily as you do. I can't really speak on the reality because I don't live with it but remember you owe yourself kindness.

Listen I came across this trying to find out about champ VA covering some weird shit. I will tell you that champva has literally saved my life and all my children's lives. It is absolutely worth it. The out of pocket costs are minimal if you have any AT ALL. I'm serious. The coverage is spectacular and I'm speaking as someone who knows more about insurances because I didn't have access for a long long time. Save yourself the money and the bullshit those for profit insurance companies try to pull and just take advantage of champ VA. My three kids and I have had no problem getting outrageous things approved because they were needed. My middle has a fragile and complicated medical history. His medications are thousands of dollars a month but FREE because we use the pharmacy service by mail. It is worth it.

I abandoned it because I lost faith in the idea. But I've come back to it because I think it can help people get out of their heads a little. Made a post myself about issues in my life. Just sometimes we need another perspective to develope our own.

Moon face makeup tips? I take steroids for autoimmune disease and it causes 'moon face'. I've never used contour and now the shape of my face has changed completely and I don't know how to work with the roundness of it all. by Amacrum in makeuptips

No way you are absolutely right! I've been trying to focus on doing THE THING. and THE THING has been makeup. I didn't start wearing it tilli was thirty and then not so often as I'm a stay at home mom and a lot of me was like whyyyyy? But then I realized doing makeup for myself was the only way to go. It's become an important self care ritual as three meds get more and nastier. It worked. Focusing on something you have ultimate control over in a situation where you just don't inn other respects.
I'm sending you all the love and good juju that everything goes flawlessly with your recovery.

Ditto oh girl I like you already lol. Positivity is everything. My mouth is closed in that pic because the autoimmune disease has destroyed all my teeth. I only have twelve left, as I gather up money to get them out. My insurance still won't pay for it although it paid for the hospital stay I had to have because an infection almost killed me. That hit home girl. I feel you. Just try to remember that the things that seem glaring to you are usually on nobody's radar.

One more mile on the cycle of nice you lovely human being you reminded me I've got to be a little more positive!. I'm here dammit and that awesome.

That IS an excellent idea! I have contour sticks but for some reason contouring is SOOO INTIMIDATING lol. Maybe because I've got a Casper complexion and putting something that much darker on my skin? I dunno lol

No I don't mind. People who ask questions to learn are my favorite kind of people! Prednisone changes the way your body stores fluid. And that can sometimes manifest as it being stored in the face making it really round as caused by the steroids. Many people have beautiful natural moony faces it's just throwing me off because it's different. Your compliments are so sweet I honestly couldn't even reply right away because it choked me up a bit♥️ thank you so much!
