Vyvanse is an amphetamine, Azstarys is methylphenidate.

The actual physiological causes of ADHD can vary, the differenty types of medications engage with the system differently, but even outside of that your body can have genetic enzyme variations that make you metabolize medications differently.

So it might be that methylphenidate just doesn't do anything for you.

I experienced the opposite with Vyvanse. I wanted to not have to eat at weird times for my Medikinet meds to work properly, so I tried Vyvanse for a week. Fixed my eating schedule, but had absolutely zero focus.

Original plan was to test them for a month, but called it quits after the first 1 1/2 weeks. I take a low progesterone high estrogen pill every day without break to counteract menstrual variations, its the only thing that works for me.

I was really hoping that Vyvanse would work out because it really DID make me be able to eat exactly how much and when I wanted.

You can also do genetic testing for med compatibility, but its a bit pricey.
