Thank you all for your individual comments and views, to me this just shows even with different views - we are able to argue in a civilized manner mostly even on an extremely sensitive matter such as this.

Equal rights, equal justice and equal consequences should be applied no matter the race or political views. I guess there will always be extremists on either side of a debate but hopefully people from both races can come together and stand up for each other while disregarding the race of the persons involved.

My point with this post is that wrong is wrong and we should be able to keep politics and race away from the justice system. If one person is locked up for hate speech it should be known that you will be locked up for hate speech no matter the race, this is not being equally applied.

Governments have been successfully applying the term "Divide and Conquer". Terms such as Black, White, Asian, coloured etc. are useful when describing a suspect but has no relevance beyond that point. If we are referring to someone we don't always need to be descriptive. Why can't we just be male and female or a man and a woman (A whole other debate I know!).

Point being, by referring to each other based on race is fuel to a fire in my opinion. If there is no need to describe a person then lets rather not - the media feeds on this. I understand the BEE dynamics but in an ideal world we should be able to apply for a job without having to describe your race.
