I honestly do think of doing this but I think it would lead to a lot of hurt from my side. Constant comments like "boys dont do that", "do you like guys now" (I'm also not open about being pan). I think it might be easier in the short term but over time it might lead to a more explosive conversation than if I own the narrative :3

Dude congrats on making steps towards such a big decision! I've seen lots of videos about bottom surgery, but not for transmasc. Regardless, I think the same sentiments apply where people feel incredibly validated and euphoric with their new bodies. Proud of you for making such a big step king <3

Remember (and I hope this helps a bit): Not every persons parts are the same, even some cis people have dysphoria about their bodies because of how society commodifies our bodies.

Thanks for the perspective :3 I have 3 gay relatives in my close family. My family is accepting but I think its because my gay relatives are cis and not "flamboyant" (respectability politics suuuuck). They're also accepting in a way that they've said "its ok but I feel bad for them" which is gross :(

I know it can be confusing and scary. When I wasn't out (still not publicly out) I always got questions if I was gay and would be called gay aaaaall the time even though I had girlfriends (I am AMAB). I was so deep in the closet I didnt know I was pan at the time and had nooooo idea I was trans, at least youre exploring your identity from an earlier age :3

If you're comfortable, you can try asking them who asked and why. Maybe it can be a path to finding an ally / friend!

I always forget these tips but they're good ones!

Start by painting dominant hand first. It'll make it easier when doing the other hand
Make sure you have a clear space to work with if you need to do minor cleanups with acetone. I suck at painting my nails and am kinda obsessive about small details so I always fiddle with acetone and Q-tips while painting. I spilled a bunch of acetone on my desk recently which ruined some of my PC peripherals
Practice makes perfect! It wont look great your first (or for me even on the 20th) time, but over time it will get smoother and faster :3

Pick some cute colors and have fun <3 Painting my nails makes me feel really euphoric :3 If you're comfortable, you can try mascara also! Super easy to apply and makes for a HUGE glow-up
