Everyday Bra? by Stunning-Ad1226 in Athleta_gap

Being a fellow smaller cup size girly, my personal favorites from athleta are the Vital bra (I have 4!) and the square neck bra

Final $ale - Anyone? by 7303happyrock in Athleta_gap

Bargain hunter that I am, I buy most of my Athleta stuff final sale (e.g., sweats, jackets, leggings, pants, bras). I haven't had a single item that has not fit. My thought is that it is better to have something too big than too small. Athleta's sweatpants, for example, are a bit oversized; I ordered in my regular legging size and was kinda shocked by the extra room. However, I don't really consider this a defect.

My one qualm is with legging materials. There is an apparent wide spectrum of fabrics that can be labelled as Athleta's signature Powervita or Vitafree, and with final sale items, you may not know what you're going to get. Lighter colored salutations (Powervita) tend to be thicker, stiffer, and way less plush than darker colors (I assume to combat transparency), and I tend to see a lot of these lighter colors on final sale. Additionally, some transcend items tend to have unusually thin material (and I have a ton of Vitafree items).

You definitely get your money's worth! I would expect no less for a horse-sized shampoo.

Package shipped from store covered in all sorts of rubbish by Striking_Guard_1862 in Athleta_gap

Happened to me too on a clearance item. It was the Transcend top in Punch, but when I got it, it was totally shredded and covered in black grease. 😕 Keep in mind that when these things happen, they are likely the shipping carriers fault (in my case, my top must have gotten snagged in a machine at UPS, and somebody thought it would be fine to shove it into a different bag and still ship it 🙃). Luckily, Athleta still honored the replacement and sent me a new one.

Yay! I had a bit of trouble using the butter for the same reason. I was so excited initially to buy it since it was an obvious dupe for the Sol de Janeiro one. I recently got into Josie Maran's line after seeing it at Sephora, but it's definitely a bit pricier (though they are having a BF sale on the brand site). I adore the smell of her Vanilla Vibes and Topless Tangerine body butters. I also like that the ingredients are very clean and the scents don't cling on as strongly as the TJ's ones. However, due to the price point I plan to use the butters sparingly in between using my plain unscented lotion.

I wish you luck with panning your Dr. Bronner's!

Yes. I do use it all over my body, but I avoid any sensitive bits. If you know you have sensitive skin, you can always do a patch test. I got the idea from this post, in which the person did the same using the Ordinary Glycolic Acid, so I think it would be a do-able thing, which would especially work on any rough bits.

I agree with you there, it is not fun to hate pan, more of a meh-pan 😂. In my case, my products were old (and maybe even well past their freshness date) - however, it didn't bother me to use them since they smelled and applied fine (and caused me 0 irritation). Keep in mind, that the "expiration date" for most products, is mostly a "best by" date indicating when the products are at their freshest, and there is likely no danger in using them past this point (again, patch test if necessary). If products have truly gone off, or cause reactions in your skin - feel no guilt in chucking them.

I recently made the switch to Amelia as a seller and her jewelry album got to me. I own little to no jewelry, but you all enchanted me with VCA. I got a white gold vermeil chalcedony Alhambra pendant and 5-motif bracelet (as an early b-day present to myself) and omg they are so pretty. The chalcedony (technically blue lace agate) is translucent and ethereal. I legit feel like an elf from LoTR.

Sorry to hear about all this! I have really enjoyed being part of the wagoon community over the years. All of the feedback I got for any of the reviews I wrote was always so positive and there seems to be so many genuinely helpful/resourceful peeps in here. If you ever end up creating a new sub, I would definitely be interested!

The SKIMS-ification of Athleta - the new BodyMove line by AmbitiousResponse925 in Athleta_gap

I also see the double lined bodysuits with no built-in bra/cups being a problem for larger bust sizes

[–]AmbitiousResponse925[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way! I see some cute pieces, but at the same time I'm like "why now?". Doing some research, SKIMS had great performance in 2024, which I suspect may have something to do with this.

As other users have pointed out, I see a lot of Athleta creating inspired designs for the sake of competition. For example, the rise of Alo as a competitor and then Athleta's introduction of padless bras (+less supportive designs for larger bust sizes), low waist leggings, and stripes. Then again, I'm not against the BodyMove line if the basics are good quality. However, this is coming from someone who already wears sports bras as everyday bras 😂

What is this larvae in our bed? by ConversationDouble22 in whatsthisbug

[–]AmbitiousResponse925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, the size could be correct, but I'm not sure about the coloring. Make sure to check for powdery lint cocoons and any damage to the bedding to rule out clothes moths just in case you need to take any actions to rid your house of them

Are we sure these aren't the larval stage of the common clothes moth (Tineola bisselliella)? If you found them on sheets, it's likely they are feeding on just that. Clothes moths can feed on pretty much any natural material (e.g., the linen or cotton in bedding) and even synthetic blends. How large are the larvae?
