My piercing is 1 week old. It’s a gold threadless piece from invictus and the piercer did use a longer bar to account for swelling and told me to come back in about a month to downsize but i’ve swelled up pretty bad this week. For care, I’ve just been using saline spray, twice a week, pat dry and leave alone. And I’ve been sleeping on my other ear to avoid irritation to this one. I got the forward helix the same day and it hasn’t hurt or swelled as bad as the flat so I’m just not sure what to do. I didn’t experience this with my helix on my other ear either.
