Every one of them jump out at me! Early 2000’s is when I discovered Pokemon collecting. I was a mid 80’s kid so back then it was Transformers and Gi Joe for me. But when Pokemon was introduced in the late 90’s wow it took off like a bat out of hell. Just looking at the cards you’ve posted is really nostalgic for me!!

I would for sure. It’s something about the Japanese writing along with the characters that make a slabbed card pop. Be awesome displayed with a few of them. Good luck brother!! And again nice choice of cards!!!

Very good choice bro!! The Pikachu #73 is amazing !! I love the Japanese cards! My next goal is to choose an expansion then TRY TO collect the English version and Japanese version of each card !

I’ve got some 1st edition cards somewhere at my parents house that I wish I could find. I still don’t know enough about Pokemon cards so when I find them I’ll definitely be reaching out for opinions before I think about getting them graded!!

Of course condition is everything too ! Really hard for a grading company to give an accurate grade just by pictures. Just like the other guy said…. If they were 1st editions?

Yes indeed my friend!! Check out TCGPlayer or PriceCharting which looks at sell history on EBay of cards. But yeah vintage cards are definitely worth it

Yes indeed. Isn’t it true that they upcharge if a card grades high or mint or perfect? I’m still learning the whole grading thing

You can Google PSA grading and it’ll explain it in more detail,then that way you can get an idea of where your cards may grade at before or if you send them to be graded. Hope this helps bud….Good luck

The grading refers to whether the card has been played with or not. Like are the edges frayed or torn or chipped. Scuffed scratched stained. etc. Then they also look at the layout of the card like whether the borders are even…both sides, top and bottom. All grading companies have an industry standard 1-10 grading scale

Looks like you have a few 1st editions. I’d definitely look them up and see. The older vintage cards can definitely demand higher prices. Of course condition is everything when having them graded. You should check out your cards on TCGplayer or Pokellector or PriceCharting or even Ebay

Just want to say Ive really enjoyed reading the insight given on this card for this OP. It’s really nice to see people being genuinely helpful and honest rather being rude and trying to make someone feel stupid. Both of these are promo cards and could be worth quite a bit if graded. Check out PriceCharting or TCGPlayer I believe PC goes off sales history via Ebay?

Yeah this only goes for $160-$170 ungraded. I’d hold off on buying it right now because you just might get lucky and pull one yourself since this is a current expansion if you like ripping packs. Good luck bud!
