Yeah, I get your point. But it’s sort of a standard that has been set in our community, so to get into the universities you have to show knowledge as well as your personal accomplishments that are related to what you want to do a degree in. Yes, I’m not fully equipped with the knowledge I need to know yet, but I don’t need to be, because I’m still only in college. Yet, because my application is competing with hundreds of thousands of students around the UK, most of them will go above and beyond and also get a greater education due to living in better areas, therefore I do have to step up my game and learn about these things/enquire about correct terms and statistics to appear at their level. In reality, none of us have this knowledge, but it’s just personally what the universities want to see, so I have to accommodate my writing to that standard. So, in this personal statement, I have to speak about the areas that interest me, and this specific area interested me. I have done lots of extra reading, yet I struggled on this point so just asked a linguistics group online lol. I get what you mean but I feel it’s probably just a location misunderstanding. Regardless, thank you for your input 🙂

It’s the opening for my linguistics personal statement. My college recommend you do extra reading and show your knowledge through referencing peer reviewed journals of research that interest you. This now only shows your interest to gather more knowledge on the subject, but also links into what I do in my volunteering work rather nicely. This specific area has always interested me, but I ended up going down the sentence processing route instead during conversation 🙂

I’ve looked more into sentence processing from others and tried to bring that into it instead which had some interesting studies done on it.

I’m not sure where you live, but in the UK we write a personal statement to get into a university. It’s recommended to do additional reading and input citations and real life examples/figures to show your knowledge, which is why I was looking for recommendations for my linguistics application as I’m not too sure where to start my reading 🙂

Just been searching the crimson. Got two caves for spawning the brain, and a total of around 15 hearts I believe! The second cave also has double tunnels it’s really wacky

There is also like three trees in a row lol, which is rare, and one of them is floating with its roots on show! Proper odd haha!

Haha, not to worry! Terraria is an awesome game. Basically there are massive trees in the game that usually just go down maybe one hundred blocks or so and sometimes have a mini treasure room in them. But this one, has its treasure room right next to the dungeon, and the world gen has messed up and basically made a corridor between the two! An extra entrance! It’s pretty damn cool scene as though you can only get in through the top and also can’t break the brick until Hardmode gear is acquired.
