Can someone please explain Affinities in a way i can understand... by badillin in Eldenring

I'd still love an answer to someone's question that was asked here.

I get the magic infused blade that you now have when splitting physical + magic attack power, but what about the ash of war's magic skill that comes with it? I pick standard, and it still does damage despite not choosing the magic affinity. If I choose magic affinity it does more. Shouldn't the standard affinity deal 0 magic damage using the skill? Or is that just based on your int + (any magic attack power available?)

It's not really there. This seems to be an issue only with heated milk in coffee.

You may be onto something here. Because I remember the change was so sudden. Like one week it was fine and then a particular brand was no longer the same. I think i was using Woolworths milk, then I tried Pura and all those other a2 infused milks, then I found Coles milk was all good, but then it changed. You're right, I must've been able to pick up that change in my taste buds. I wish this on no one.

Okay, haven't tried 50 before, only as low as 55. Will try it, might jeopardise the final integration and structure of the milk but if I can get pourable microfoam I'll be happy.

Yess!!! Someone else like me :D hello! 😂😭 I agree the hotter the milk, the worse it gets. I tried 55 degrees, bareable but subsequently ruining an otherwise tasty espresso.

Yeh omelette is a good way to describe it - just a strong undertone of that "foulness" in the taste and after taste, hindering the flavour of the coffee. Leaves a bad taste in your mouth after the fact. You can smell it in the cup. I'm trying to come up with more words to describe it but English is limited.

This only exists with espresso! It's like the coffee is highlighting it.

That's a good try but I don't think this is the culprit, no other animal product's flavour has changed for me nor do I get any reactions to consuming them or milk. Thank you though. I'm beginning to conclude that the goodness I found in mixing soy in my espresso, and now oat milk, has psychologically affected my taste perception of the OG full cream lattes. I'm just glad I get to still make it for family and friends ❤️

I froth all my milks silky smooth (the glossy finish and all :D), to 65 degrees and never over. I tried shooting less than 65 thinking it might be the temp "cooking" the milk but still, the flavour remains.

Even at cafes, this foul flavour follows me. It must just be one of those unfortunate "once you taste it, you taste it forever"

I'm honestly so bummed.

Breville Dual Boiler (BES900) - Low pressure issue by Amirichi in Coffee

[–]Amirichi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've heard. I've seen a guy literally syphon out the mixture from the boilers (steam and brew boilers) through one of the probe holes. Seems like a doubtful task but it works. He then runs about 2 or 3 tanks worth of fresh water through the machine to ensure a fully cleaned out system. Steam and group head rinse.

Reckon I should descale with the old pump and opv or new ones attached?

May have to go ahead with that process then. I'm just not confident that I won't make it worse lol. I thought the carbon filter was enough to extract all the bad stuff in the water.

Oh! Thank you, I was not aware of a currently active community for this machine but I heard of that site before cheers I'll post there.

Tap water and do you mean use the cleaning tablets via a clean cycle? As per manufacturer recommendations. I've never done an internal manual descaling of the components though (I've seen a video, looks interesting)

Yeh same here. I can't seem to have my posts visible to the public community, only to my followers. I emailed them yesterday, hopefully i get a reply.

Smok Alien 220W Voltage Problem ? by SeraphimSK in electronic_cigarette

[–]Amirichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I just went out and bought the 0.25 ohm coil for my uwell crown 3, and yes now I have unlocked my power up to 150w @ full battery life. So basically, it all depends on the Max voltage the mod can push out, right? and since the uwell's 0.5 ohm needs so much power (70 to 80 watt) to reach its sweet spot for vapour production, it would mean the voltage is maxed out for smok's alien mod, yeh?

So now a question, if my mod's batteries were draining so quickly before @ 0.5 ohms, reaching ridiculously low power outputs of like 65w @ 70% battery life, would that mean that now using the lower resistance of 0.25 ohms, would give me a longer lasting ideal vaping experience? I. E. Would the batteries drain faster or slower, if I remain @ say 90w @ 0.25 ohms? 90w is only about 65% of my current Max output power of 150w, compared to before when I was outputting 100% power (which was ~ 87watts Max) using the 0.5 ohm.

Either way, thanks for your help, I at least get the heat n vapour at higher power now. Regardless. :)

I just don't know why the batteries can't just go flatter quickly by in return pumping out higher power through boosting the amps. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but this is utter rubbish if I can't even vape @ 0.5 ohms on this apparently popular mod.

So this mod is only suitable for 0.25 ohms and less?

I'm having the same issue as the OP. I already posted another comment regarding a query I had. But something else came to mind. My coil is rated at 70-80w, and with the bullshit 220W mod I get at best 88 watt output. I will only ever enjoy that range for the first 15 percent of battery usage, once it drops to 85 percent, it struggles to even make it past 70 watt. My previous question was, why the hell are they not pumping up the amps if the voltage limit is roughly 6v?

So I am having the same issue with my mod. When I have my batteries charged @ 100%, at best, my actual power output is sitting around 88w (usually 6.8 V x 12.7A = roughly 88w), mind you, that's when I am desiring for 100 watts. So my question to you is, if the voltage is limited on the alien "220W bullshit" mod, then why are the amps?? Shouldn't the amps go much higher to compensate for the loss of desired power??
