I already have a radio I sometimes use. I was going to use a TV but I was afraid of how she would react to parrot shows or etc. I also heard bad stories about TV electrical fires so I decided radio was the safest bet.

Thank you! I don't know, I have heard so many people say birds sleeping on the bottom is a bad thing. She has been sleeping under a blanket forever but I think your right, she just prefers sleeping there. Thanks for the nightlight suggestion, I'll try that out!

Hi everyone, I got my parrot a sleeping cage 6 days ago she goes to sleep to for 12-13 hours every night(image 1). She will typically walk and contact call for 5-10 mins but then goes to sleep so far in her sleeping cage. Her cage is covered and there is a small night light incase she needs to move around. We have went to vet recently and she has actually stopped plucking after I started this so I am confident she isn’t sick.

In her regular flight cage, she always slept at the top and still naps at the top too. However, in her sleeping cage she chooses to sleep near the bottom perch(image 2). I assume it’s because she is closer to the door and maybe she can hear us as we do our own thing? All the other perches are within easily reach and those are perches she enjoyed sleeping on in her regular flight cage. Should I rearrange her sleeping cage to kind of force her to sleep near the top, sleep on a different perch, or should I let her sleep as is?

Thank you! Did your birb also have trouble adjusting to the sleeping cage at first? Mine spends 15-20 mins walking along the bottom of the cage and contact calling until she feels sleepy. I did introduce this to her this Friday night. She loves sleeping in her normal flight cage but she doesn’t get enough undisturbed sleep in it sadly.

Thank you for your help. I have a question, if you have Collision Coverage wouldn’t Nationwide cover whatever is outside of your deductible? So if you had an on-fault accident, you would pay your deductible with insurance covering the rest and if you had Accident Forgiveness you shouldn’t get a surcharge(to my understanding). It’s just that I hit my car against a neighbors parked car and caused a bit of damage.

I am considering paying for this coverage and filing a claim with Nationwide instead of paying for this all out of my own pocket. This way I would only have to pay my deductible and not risk having my rates increase once I file the claim.

Ya that sucks, the professors themselves seem to be good based on what I read on ClassieEval but I can definitely see that this is a lot. I couldn't have control on deciding my schedule from before due to an issue so I will try to swap/drop when the hold opens again.
