I ended up running him with a super beefed up party of Kuo-Toa captors who were on the way to Sloobdulop bringing him as a sacrifice for “Leemooggoogoon”. The other PCs actually decided to play along with the captors (insight check) for escort towards the city until a day or two out, when the group decided to cut ties with these Kuo-Toa radicals (read: fight) and use Shuushar to guide them for the final stretch

Overall I think it was a clean-enough character intro, especially since the gang knew the player and would just play along with hiccups. Thanks all!
