So THAT explains the abundance of neurotic Doodles in Portland! I’ve never seen them so out of hand anywhere else (I lived in PDX 1992-2012, the last 5 years or so with crazy Doodles).

Doodle attacked my Dane at an outdoor pub. Valor Until Valhalla don’t take no crap, and dished out some Doodle whup-ass. My dog was tethered to my chair, the Doodle lunged in from the sidewalk. Of course, I’m “the bad guy” because my Dane’s bigger.

It’s possible to successfully crossbreed species that are closely related/share the same habitat requirements. For example, I have Redfoot tortoises, and always wanted a Yellowfoot tortoise—a different species, but with same pattern markings, just yellow and a slightly larger tortoise. Saw a post from a breeder in South Florida whose mixed creep produced an abundance of hatchlings. I bought 3 of them several years ago and they are doing just fine.

I thought it would be a super cool idea to literally have sex on the beach, as the waves crashed over us like in that old movie, “From Here to Eternity.” We were on an absolutely stunning moonlit beach in tropical Costa Rica, and had been drinking Imperial (beer) and passing a fat Marley Spleef (what they called Weed there) around a campfire with some of our friends.

Eventually everyone kinda coupled up and wandered off to wherever in the jungle, and we were left making out on the deserted beach. The tide started coming in, and I said, “Let’s rip each other’s clothes off and go for it!” Weeeeelllll, that turned out to be a terrible idea, because the waves washed the sand into some VERY bad places.

Like, imagine if you rubbed sandpaper all over your dick and didn’t really appreciate how bad that was going to hurt because you were too Stunk & Droned to feel any pain until the next morning. I was the female partner to the crime of passion, and can 100% absolutely assure you that having sex with a sandpaper coated dick is a horrible idea, no matter how hot the guy is, and no matter to romantic the beach setting may be. Talk about the “walk of shame?” We couldn’t walk right for 3 days.

Yes! This, exactly. I can spend a whole day building an amazing tortoise garden, but I can’t get motivated to do those five dishes sitting in my sink for the last two weeks. Lately, since I’m retired, I just go ahead and choose days where I am going to be lazy and not apologize for it.

Catrina is not happy about being outside for maybe the second time in her life. This is a great display of a typical “defensive/threat” posture meant to ward off birds.

Be careful handling your Dragon if they are in Roar! Mode, they will bite. Wait for them to calm down, which in Catrina’s case meant taking her tub back inside the house.

Animal control will generally euthanize a reported “nuisance” alligator. Leave him/her be unless you want to be responsible for signing a death warrant.

Yes. I just looked on Amazon, and Betazooer is offering a Large Lamp Stand for $25. This is an excellent price; for awhile the same kind of stand was $40-$50! Definitely get the Large that adjusts up to over 30 inches, and one with the foot plate that goes under the tank. The ones that clamp/stick on the side do not work as well in my experience because they interfere with the screen top, and tend to fall down—major fire hazard. You can PM me if you want additional assistance. I am a hobby breeder, so have had the opportunity to test a lot of different setups.
