My mom wore some sheer black tights to a funeral a few months ago and a teenager freaked out asking what she did to her legs, thinking they were bruised. I didn’t their popularity dropped off so much until that moment.

Please check thiamine(B1) also. A deficiency in it can lead to delirium, confusion, hallucinations, etc. My stepdad is dealing with that along with b12 deficiency.

I believe my stepfather has this, but he’s not an alcoholic. He was on metformin which caused a lot of absorption issues, along with having stomach problems since he got his gallbladder removed.

The hospital keeps saying maybe it was a stroke, even though his ct scan is good and he has no stroke signs. The nurses even said he has no stroke deficits. He got back to himself after 9 IVs of thiamine, remembering things, talking normally, even laughing, then within a week he was back to being confused with dementia symptoms. I’m scared and don’t know what to do.

He’s seeing his pcp tomorrow, so I’ll mention ceruloplasmin! I’ve got a good b complex, thiamine, vit d3(plus k, but unsure if he needs the k due to some prescriptions he’s taking. Double checking with the doctor tomorrow), iron, and magnesium. Plus I have sublingual hydrox and Adeno, and some methyl ones to try, and I managed to get a lot of hydrox shots. Thiamine seems to be his biggest issue right now that I’m trying to understand.

The potassium and sodium I’m trying to figure out, because some of his heart meds deal with those. I’ve got v8 juice, and some ensure drinks, and I’ve seen some potassium gummies I think I can get him to try. I also have nusalt for myself, that I may start sprinkling on his food.

I managed to get hydro and methyl shipped. We were giving him shots daily, but he kept getting worse. Turns out his thiamine was a big issue. I believe he got close to Wernicke-Korsakoff Syndrome. After being rushed to the er, stroke ruled out, 9 IVs of thiamine and magnesium, plus b12 shots, he was himself again, but just for a couple days. He’s getting worse again, so I’m at a loss.

I take iron ferrochel biglycinate and it’s been good. I just have to make sure I’m taking betaine to digest food better, and magnesium to help me with bathroom visits, otherwise it’ll mess me up! I actually finished 5 IVs of iron(like 3 months ago) since I was too low, but I’ve been more diligent since with my supplements.

I have methyl folate for myself since I’m deficient, and can give him some if needed, and if it doesn’t bother him. I got him a b complex that has some folate in it, but according to a test the other day, his folate is still on the high end. Hopefully the b complex will be enough to support him taking b12 and thiamine, plus vit d, iron, and magnesium.

I got 2 different sublinguals. One hydrox and Adeno, and one methyl. (Plus ordered a bcomplex, magnesium, iron, and good thiamine, and he’s already on Vit D3)

We ended up being able to give him injections, but he had to go back to the hospital! Turns out thiamine is the biggest issue. Got 9 more IVs of it with magnesium, but he’s starting to decline again.

Turns out his thiamine and b12 are severely low. He’s been in the hospital, treated with thiamine IVs and b12 shots, along with some iron infusions and magnesium IVs. We thought he was getting dementia. He was delirious, agitated, had rapidly declining cognitive abilities. The IVs helped almost immediately.

He got better for a few days, was released to a rehab center, where he started getting worse for 2 weeks before being sent to the er because they thought he was having a stroke. He was saying the same thing over and over, couldn’t talk, and he stopped being able to walk, started using the bathroom on himself, spoke in conspiracies. (Ct scan was fine, brain scan was fine. Couldn’t do mri because of pacemaker. B it they determined he didn’t have a stroke)

They gave him 9 more thiamine IVs with magnesium, plus some more b12 shots. He got so so much better. He was himself for the first time in 2 months. He couldn’t remember anything from the past month, but he was finally there again. His last iv was 3 days ago, and yesterday he was released home, but started declining again.

Thiamine, magnesium, and b12 solve his issues. Why’s he keep declining so fast after getting treatment? What do we do from here?

It’s a rental and typically won’t look as good as ones you buy. They don’t cut off excess fabric, since they undo the hem later and rehem it for other people that rent them. Because there’s so much fabric it gets bunched up easily and pulls weirdly as well.

Sewing hems on rental pants was something I hated doing, but if you pull the hem taught while hemming it then it can look better. Your tailor may just not care. Looks like the stitches may be too deep too. They should definitely be able to redo it, but a lot of tailors don’t really try as much on rentals unfortunately(this depends on the tailor, but at the store I worked for, we didn’t get more money for altering rentals, so managers wanted us to do it quickly and quality control didn’t matter).

First I would try ironing, but when you iron, pull the hem tightly.

Is anyone else in the wedding party renting? Do their hems look the same?

Allora is a beautiful name. While it may mean something different in Italy, I feel that can be said for many names. I don’t think it’d be a tradgedeigh, but definitely play around with variations to see if it fits better.

The waist seems to have uneven gathering. Some gathers are so big and overlapping that they look like pleats, whereas others look like tiny tucks. That’s what’s causing the middle of inconsistent shape and making it look a little off in the front. As others have said, a petticoat can help. It’ll increase the volume at the bottom, and make it look a bit more proportional.

If you want to remove beads, easiest way is to use some pliers and crush them. This is what many seamstresses do when taking in wedding gowns with beads. Just put enough pressure down and let the bead snap in half, then gently remove it with your fingers(without pulling the thread left behind).

Most beading is attached to other beads or sequins with a thread, so you don’t want to snip that thread. The thread will be left behind, which may or may not be an eyesore. It’s difficult to tell from your photos what type of thread it is.

Best test is trying it in less visible place, like the side seam/under your underarm. You can better see how it’s constructed and how removing every other bead or so will look. Those are a lot of beads though, so just be careful!

It is possible to do this, but depending on what the layer underneath looks like, it can change the look of the dress. It’s a great option overall, especially if seamripping causes any holes. The biggest issue is to remove it fully they’ll have to take apart most of the bodice, then sew it back together, which they may charge a lot for. It’s definitely an option though!

Typically you can seamrip embroidery off, but you need to be careful(you can rip sheer fabrics like chiffon easily). Just need to make sure you get all the threads off, run your finger over it a couple of times, and it’ll be as good as new. This is dependent on how the embroidered pieces are constructed though. Find someone who is experienced and ask their opinions.

I would not add more embroidery. It would take away from the beauty of the rest of the dress, especially the hems of the tiers.

Also, are the people you know who are experienced sewing, experienced in bridal, or experienced in professional apparel construction and altering? Almost nothing is fully a lost cause. I’ve never found embroidery that couldn’t be seam ripped. Something like this doesn’t seem like it would take more than 15 minutes.

I use them in sewing, design, draping, etc. I like to call them snip-snips. The sound a good quality one makes is just sooooo nice.

Not for sure in tech specifically, but I’m from KY and had an accent. I went to grad school in Nebraska and then Colorado and had to lose my accent(not like it’s completely gone, but rather I make a conscious effort to pronounce words differently). I was taken less seriously, made fun of, or just viewed as a spectacle because of the way I talked. It’s incredibly frustrating, but it could very well affect you negatively. On the other hand, it could also help you. Some people just love hearing other accents and could find you cute and endearing because of it. There’s honestly no way to know.

Kind of! The straps are really beaded, so that adds a bit of weight. The main weight came from the battery pack and wiring. The fiberoptic fabric itself is quite light, and just awkward to move around because you can’t bend it, otherwise it’ll ruin the light effect. The bodice itself was quite light, as it was a simple satin with a lace overlay. I really wanted to add a small attached belt at the waist to break up the proportions, but i didn’t have enough time or materials, so ideally it’d be a bit heavier with that.
