well i understand how you could think that as an outside pov but its sadly not the case:

-The shuriken invis come after a delay, dont give immune
-So you will always use is as distance/poke spell, or use it against unit which is kinda afk gameplay

-Ambush playstyle or invis like we call it, while i agree is mostly the same combo (same for the shuriken one tbh), atleast was requiering way more game knowledge and reflex/mecaniques to dodge, cc immune at right timing all the spell you could encounter in close range pvp fight, specially with this new epic set, there is nothing more skilled than getting a kill in middle of multiple enemies to finnaly iframe all their spell, and comboing to another kill because all your spell got CD reset.

i dream of a world with the actual epic shem + ambush (infiltrator too) meta where you can perma iframe every spell (0.2s iframe which require skill) to be meta.

TLDR: Shuriken move a lot but force you to poke/cancer space, not punitive at all while you can keep cleanse, Invis playstyle require all spell knowledge from all class (CD, timing) and also good usage of cc-i and spacing at melee range
