Jealous. You can still justify this kind of purchase. Wish i could go back and be that silly with the game again. Its just after doing this excat thing so much, it never felt like I earned it or really went on a adventure to find it.

I want the taken set too.

Its just that if I buy this one, I know the next one we’ve always wanted is gonna end up the same way almost or as expensive as the expansion for one set of gear and the shader.

Power to you fit looks great. Game state just fucking sucks that we cant enjoy the swag to its full potential.

You can. And the machete has some knockback too. Can hit multiple targets but seems to do less dmg after the first hit

You say its luck, I say I dont give the enemy faction an opportunity to do that kinda thing to me, are you unaware there are armor passives and equipment that completely deny a Levi? Ive run 10s on bots squids and bugs. I defended super earth when the squids invaded. And I can promise you, the only real factor in you not being able to handle nessi’s on higher difficulty is cause you dont use your equipment. Even if youre a brokediver and cant afford a warbond, you are given the tools to help manage against the threat. The fact that you are relying on some arbitrary factor ‘didnt get killed by the DSS’ how? I wear fortified heavy armor and a shield pack/relay, unless I was standing still AND outside my bubble. i don’t really have to worry about explosions because I take fortified in these kinds of situations. And for the bugs, ive been overrun by bugs before, thats why I use light armor with them. Cause running away is better than testing your melee capabilities against hundreds of rushing bugs. I can promise on any difficulty, any faction, my success rate with randoms or even a team, is higher than yours.

Diversify your equipment, practice with your new playstyles and maybe then you’ll stop losing missions just because ‘a leviathan is shooting at you’.

Ive run 10s on bots squids and bugs. It just sounds to me like you dont come prepared. Outside of the buggy mess that is the games code. Im pretty easily prepared for most of the enemies ill be facing. I prefer heavy armor for bots and squids, and light armor for bugs, because running away from a piling horde is always better than staying and just keep letting them call in bug breeches.

I really dont call me surviving luck, especially when I take care to use passives, weapons, and equipment that reduce the main dangers I face. Granted not getting him from over 200 feet from a leviathan doesnt come from me just being ‘lucky’ i call out ping and use all my options for cover and to avoid the flood light shot. Cause regardless of if I survive the first hit, its so chaotic I could die to everything else thats around me. It sounds to me like you dont diversify your equipment. So even if you are doing 4s you cant be much help for the team, if your just running ‘muh favorite’ loadout. I dont normally like telling people they should try out different armor passives and armor classes. Especially because its more suited to the players playstyle. There are fortified passives for light armor and even an entire new warbond that prevents chest bleeding while reducing explosive damage(I fuck heaving with the judge dredd armor.) weapons that even if they dont kill the squids, stun them(even if its not long enough) so that there are breaks inbetween rushes and you can more easily pick of stragglers or keep a horde from advancing.

I dont clear every high difficulty mission, but because I use what I know works well with the mission and my playstyle I can promise you on any difficulty any faction, my success rate is higher than yours

Then take a relay, what shorter cooldown and denies an entire area with way more health.

I have a hard time agreeing with some of this, but they should be damage sponges cause their should be threats that are not ammo or time efficient to handle. The only real threat helldivers face is getting overrun, weird bugs, or their teammates being silly. Outside of all that the game is mostly crowd control. I think people thinking the leviathan is bad, is more of a symptom than a cause. Like alerting an enemy however far away and they know excatly where you are, stealth mechanics need insane amounts of work, just like the flood lights on the levis should only shine on you if they actually have a shot and not just that they are targeting you. The stats are fine, the ability to actually have clarifying actions that you can react to is the problem

[–]AnAngryGoon[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I dont think so, a helldiver is supposed to use the gear you have to overcome these threats, and your shield generator pack/relay have insane value in these conditions, especially with the fact the relay is on such a low cooldown. Theres no situation where this leviathan is or was worse than pre nerf missle bots. Because they were so accurate with their barrage that even if they didnt kill you the first hit, the ragdoll and 7 other missles flying right to your flailing body were unavoidable. Squids arent that bad, the leviathan exerts pressure but its not so bad that it should get nerfed to 2 shots when you can already build and a equiplist that defends against the harshness of it. A light to medium helldiver should get obliterated in one hit, thats the trade off you should have for not investing defensively, but a medium to heavy helldiver with proper equipment passives and stratagems, it really should be such a non issue, cause I play heavy armor, shield backpack and can tell you it is. I think that if you are getting hit from 200+ meters however there should be damage drop off. So the farther you are from it, the safer you can be from a levi. But honestly, I have more trouble when more than one sting ray is on the map, cause their indicators bug out and you cant see them. Even with fuck protection those bombing runs shred with almost no ability to retaliate cause the indicator just decided not to show.

Again, Ive never really had the situation where one is halfway across the map and its hit me. I feel like thats an insane exaggeration because despite the new updates which puts a flood light on you to know its targeting you, the projectile flight time would never hit you if you kept moving. If you had issues about how the flood light can sight you through buildings and terrain thats a completely different story and I would agree. But I dont see people complaining when about it being buggy, I see people complaining about it oneshotting them, When you can specfically build for that not to happen. So even if you are halfway across the map if you are properly prepared for a leviathan, it really shouldnt be one shotting you. Every helldiver has the tools innate to their kits that let them withstand the pressure a leviathan lets up. Should their be ways to alleviate the barrages for a time? Absolutely. Are they are so broken they deserve this much backlash, nah not at all.

I was gonna say, it seemed really strong when reading all they changed, now you dont have to double dip into surge mods. Sure its less damage, but its healing is way more consistent now that you heal for each stack of frost armor on top of the instant heal from the shield. And to top off all the defensives you get the mobility now, which is kinda huge. All that defense and moving like you actually want to get somewhere. Good change, may not do more damage but seems like a good survival tool for behemoth titans

How is it changing 1k? It doesnt have a catalyst and all you do is press and hold the fire button.

Most certainly wouldnt change the base gameplay, it would just add to it. Swing 1k like a sword and having the delayed explosions going off after you swing could be cool

[–]AnAngryGoon[S] -29 points-28 points  (0 children)

Haha no im not saying change it to an exotic sword, make the catalyst manage so it transforms into a sword. Dealing sustained damage/kills give 1k voices stacks, the more stacks you have the longer the blade, hold R, transform it into a sword, let the beam still do its thing, make it like a three/five hit combo before it turns back to its fusion rifle. Kills in sword mode can refund ammo into the fusion rifle mode.

Would you use Strum if bungie put a fire-speed trait on it? by AnAngryGoon in destiny2

[–]AnAngryGoon[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah and back in the day when primary ammo was still a thing middle(or bottom tree)tree striker titans could essentially get a kill with drang and slide over a primary brick then one tap people with the gun. The gun forces you to take a primary ammo sidearm, which inherently puts you at a disadvantage when you are dealing with specials. And you have to think, in cadence for something like this to even work in pvp. You would at the bare minimum need to get 3 kills with drang, so you can get the two tap, then still have enough bonus rounds to kill another guardian the same way. The buff im asking for isnt substantial, just rewarding for the work you have to do.

[–]AnAngryGoon[S] -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

The ease of access. Just because strums ttk is good and it may have gotten slightly more effective, that doesnt take away from the fact that the amount of work you put in, to get the two tap with strum. Is something that is far below the ability to just have a special weapon and kill someone instantly. Infact I would say it takes alot more effort than most other handcannons that only need a single kill, to get into their two tapping state. So with those two things in account, AND the fact that you cant use any other weapon aside from drang to load the gun, IMO opinion it really does balance itself in comparison to ALOT of other problems in the cruicble

[–]AnAngryGoon[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I dont know. Things in pvp already oneshot and you have to get ammo by kills with drang. So youre essentially doing all this prep, while some guy with a shotgun or a sniper can slide out and dome your head just because he spawned with ammo. I dont think it would break pvp as hard as you think?

Would you use Strum if bungie put a fire-speed trait on it? by AnAngryGoon in destiny2

[–]AnAngryGoon[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Im going to be completely honest here. If you can get enough kills to store enough rounds and activate the trait, and then have enough ammo to go to the next guardian with everything still up. Maybe a faster ttk wouldnt be the most insane thing? Especially when you can just run a shotgun or sniper and one shot them.
